We were out in the area that evening last Wed & researched the nearest Halal Food spot that was atleast 4 stars plus. Let me tell you I’m so glad we found this gem. “Zaman Grill and. Sharwarma”. The hospitality was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. A huge highlight of our visit was meeting one of the owners, Adam, who went above and beyond with his generosity. He let us taste-test their beautifully seasoned pita chips alongside their flavorful hummus and olive oil, and also shared samples of their tender chicken and lamb shawarma.
Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned—a true pleasure. Food didn’t take long to come out..
My friend and I shared our main cuisines and appetizers, and we were absolutely not disappointed with a single bite. The shawarma in particular was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked.
The only minor challenge was that we couldn’t get our main dishes made spicy directly, but the staff was fantastic and quickly accommodated us by providing a side of their house signature spicy sauce. This attention to customer needs truly speaks volumes about their service.
Zaman Grill and Shawarma is, without a doubt, one of the best Mediterranean food establishments I have tried by far. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for phenomenal food and genuinely warm service!

This place was a bit rough. First, there’s a huge TV playing Arabic singing much too loud. They did eventually turn it down at our request. But it made talking difficult.
The guy working the counter was nice but seemed a bit spaced out. One of the descriptions on the menu was misleading, and it took way too long for the guy to explain what it was supposed to mean. There are also a number of typos on the menu.
The chicken and rice platter I got was mediocre initially. It was too dry – until I learned from another patron that they had garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was great, and it significantly improved the food.
The prices for the meals were decent. But the prices for extras were terrible. We got an extra chicken kabob, and it was $8 for 4 small pieces of chicken.
Overall, I’d give it 3 stars, but it’s minus an additional star because they don’t offer cups of water. They only sell bottles.

Paid $15 for a chicken shawarma wrap that was basically an enchilada cosplay. Small, dry, and I hit multiple hard pieces in the chicken. Fries were soggy enough to qualify as mashed potatoes with ambition.
Credit where it’s due: the tortilla had a good texture, and the pickled jalapenos did too. Unfortunately, they were the highlights of the meal, which is not what you want from a shawarma wrap.
Staff wasn’t rude, just kind of distant, like we were all waiting for the same elevator.
I really wanted this to be my new go-to shawarma spot, but this meal was a full-on regret. Photo included so future me remembers not to gamble again.

Service was great, friendly staff and supersized and generous portions. Chicken shawarma was great, hummus and baba ghanoush was very good. The chicken, beef, and kofta mixed grill was great and the mixed grill for one was enough to feed two at least. My only complaint is the service fee tacked onto the bill for a party of five..I would encourage the owner to rethink his strategy for that.

Had such a wonderful experience here! Everything we got was incredibly delicious, fresh, and very authentic. The tabbouleh was the best I’ve ever had, and the chicken shawarma was amazing! They were so friendly and even offered us some complimentary items. Can’t say enough good things and we’ll definitely be back regularly!

Very authentic and amazing Palestinian/arab restaurant. Lots of indoor dining space. Best hummus I’ve ever had in my life. Shawarma reminded me of visiting the region. Tasted exactly how I remember. Great prices too. A real gem in Howard county.

Really disappointed in the veggie platter. $16 for some hummus, baba ghanoush and 4 small falafel balls. Not worth it. Over priced, wrong order, bad service. Unseasoned fries.
No bread for the hummus. They also got my order wrong, I did not want the baba ghanoush, I wanted hummus. The kid at the counter seemed more interested in his cell phone. The veggie platter doesn’t come with rice or fries unlike the other platters…

you’re looking for authentic shawarma that tastes like home, this spot is the real deal. The flavors are spot-on, the seasoning is just right, and the meat is cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and packed with that classic Middle Eastern taste. The hummus? A+. Creamy, rich, and exactly how it should be. You can tell they put real effort into keeping the food as authentic as possible. Whether you’re craving a solid wrap or a full plate, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Shawarma was dry, disappointing since that’s the highlight. Rest of food was ok. And Shawarma in Gaithersburg is much better. Note that if you dine in, there is an 18% gratuity they add to your bill without notice.
