I love everything about this place. In fact it’s my husband & I’s favorite ‘fast food’ place. However I must make a recommendation. Please warn customers ahead of time that their smoothie bowl is frozen & needs to thaw. I was expecting to dive right in & enjoy the new Bahama Mama bowl during a quick lunch but was quickly met with delicious toppings on top of a frozen smoothie mixture beneath the toppings.

Just for management to track. I normally have a good experience here, however, on 8/10 I placed an online order which said it would be ready by 6:25. The order was fulfilled finally by 6:53 after it had waited in the store for over 30 minutes. Some organization, training, and adequate staffing is needed to continue on a successful track.

I love this place. I order every day so I’m kind of a regular because I’m a really picky eater. I think the smoothie and food deal is priced so amazingly. I will say my smoothie definitely tastes better some days when certain people make it and I saw another review saying that you can’t pickup in the drive thru – that does suck. I’m a delivery driver and constantly running on my shift and my first few orders I clicked ‘PICKUP IN DRIVE THRU’. No lol. Every time I went they say pickup is not in drive thru and it’s an option in the app so I really don’t understand that. But it’s fine, it’s a small inconvenience to get out and get it every day and some days the smoothie is a 5/10 but I still will continue eating here everyday because it’s the only healthy place in Uniontown every time I do go in, it also smells and looks so clean. The staff is friendly when you’re in there!

I can’t find a single thing to complain about. I was one of the first few customers to come in when they opened up. Everyone was polite, and friendly and made my day brighter with their warm demeanor, which is more than I can say about their competitors up and down Rt. 40
Second, the Food is amazing. The Bahama Mama is my Favorite, and everytime I have one, it makes my day better.
If there is a slimmer of hope that brings me joy, it’s knowing this restaurant is up and running, with a good crew and God to watch over them. God bless these people.
Maybe I’ll stop in soon and get some more smoothies before I move back to Centre County, I just hope the Restaurant in State College is just as good as this one.

Ordered online. Paid 8 bucks for a smoothie. Pulled into the drive through which you can’t back out of they told me with a crap attitude pick ups inside so I had to sit in the drive through until the lady in front of me left. Get inside. One girl is texting. The young man was working and the other girl was doing whatever. It was literally more work for them to walk the smoothie past the drive through window to take it to the pick up box. Was literally chunks of ice with fruit and water floating on top. Don’t normally review stuff but idk why something as simple as getting a fruit smoothie had to be so annoying.

After recently relocating from SW Florida I was happy to find the new area I moved to has a Tropical Smoothie. One of my favorite places. On a recent visit I had the pleasure of meeting the district manager and was able to convey what great staff he has at this location and how the place is always so clean. After our brief conversation I can say this guy is on point and doing a great job for Tropical Smoothie. I highly recommend a visit!

I had never heard of Tropical Smoothie before. I was passing through Uniontown and have been sooo thirsty so I decided to give it a shot. This is the biggest and best smoothie I’ve ever had. Dani at the drive through was so sweet and efficient. The styrofoam cup threw me for a loop but I’ve realized it’s so my hands don’t freeze. I’ll definitely go again when I’m passing through.

We have been to this location out of necessity a number of times since my first review. We have found that our experience entirely depends on 2 things.
#1 hope that women are running the show that day. If it’s just women, the food is great. If there’s a man, something will be very wrong. There are/have been multiple men on staff. It doesn’t seem to matter which one is on duty, your order will not be right. If one particularly late night guy is working, he will tell you they are out of whatever it is you are trying to order. I think he just doesn’t want to make it. lol. You don’t run out of all of the smoothie ingredients for all of the smoothies at Tropical Smoothie.
#2 Don’t order anything with fresh vegetables… no salads, no Thai wraps, because if you do and there is a man working, the veggies are invariably truly rotten. I don’t know why it’s fine when it’s the women. But, imo it’s not worth the risk.

Order done entirely wrong. On two wraps the lettuce was rotten and the carrots were soft and slimy. I think they are stretching their produce past expiration dates. One wrap was missing ingredients. And two others had ingredients added to them that didn’t belong in them. The smoothies were off… it’s not that they made the wrong one, it’s like they are leaving out ingredients. We eat at the tropical smoothie in the pgh area regularly, this Uniontown location was just terrible. Check your order before you leave. If you order sides or flavor straws, this is the kind of place that will “forget” to put them in to increase their bottom line. Such a disappointment, especially at their astronomical prices.
