I have a 26 year old and an almost 23 year old who are absolutely obsessed with trains. They are autistic and nonverbal. They loved it. We drove 3 hours just to go there. It was well worth the travel! The server had the train go around the counter even though there was no food on it because the younger one kept motioning in a circle. The experience was calming to them. Nobody stared at them awkwardly and the server was truly amazing with them. I would give it 100 stars if I could! Best experience ever!!

Love this place, a wonderful place for kids. I have taken both of my nephews here over the years, and we always have a blast.
Food is also very good and not just “kids food” if you get my meaning, and it is very reasonably priced. Also we went Monday night and our sever was VERY good despite being quite busy. There is also a connected arcade with ticket prizes too. Love this place!

Came here for my son’s 5th birthday dinner. It was a bit of a drive but well worth it. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. There’s plenty of things for young kids to do like an arcade, train rides, and interactive model trains. Staff was great and very helpful.

Tyler’s Tender is such a sweet restaurant for train loving kiddos and anyone young at heart! It is spacious inside with plenty of special spots at the counter where the train brings you your food. The whole place was very clean and the staff were so friendly! They offer a great menu selection for everyone and the prices are VERY reasonable in my opinion. They have a small arcade with games that are mostly 50 cents each to play and cute little prizes you can trade for the tickets you win. TT also has a very cute model train displayed with a button to press to make the train move. Last, but definitely NOT least, they have a small train you can ride in!! Rides are a very affordable price of $1/ride. I would HIGHLY recommend making a stop at this family friendly restaurant and bring your kids!! We will be back!

Coolest place to take your kids to eat. The food was great and the train theme is spot on. The food even comes out on a little train set. The staff is beyond nice and patient with the kids and even had someone take the kids on a little train ride inside the restaurant. The kids loved it. There is an attached arcade to the restaurant as well but off to the side so doesn’t interfere with dinner. Amazing place.

Altogether, the experience was great…I took my 2 children, 2 nieces, and nephew. They had a ball! They enjoyed the model trains, riding on the train, and of course, the arcade. Food was good, but a little expensive for what it was…Chili’s type prices, Steak n Shake quality. It DID come out fast, fresh and hot. Now the highlight for ME was our server. I think her name was Aniko. She was AWESOME!! She was kind, patient, and prompt. If you want a nice, quaint place to take the kids, Tyler’s will do the job!

If zero stars were possible they would get none. I definitely don’t recommend this place. The food is usually overcooked and very overpriced. Surely not a good place when they seat you and then make you wait at least 20 minutes to even get a drink over placed since most of the worked just stand around and do nothing except play on their phones. Not once does anyone even offer a refill on your beverage. They charge you the same price for a child’s tiny beverage as they do a full sized one. Wasn’t very fun having to ration a few sips of a beverage through an entire meal. Also Wasn’t very pleased to have to wait over 20 minutes after our meal was clearly done just to get approached about if we wanted the check then another nearly 20 minutes to get the bill then another at least 10 to get the bill taken care of after my family had already went out to the car. Definitely not returning everyone got food poisoning from this adventure. Sad thing about today is that there wasn’t any more than 4 tables in there. The staff that was too busy doing nothing couldn’t even be bothered to run the big train even if children asked them for it. Only saw it run once in this couple hour ordeal. They never even removed this dirty highchair off the counter near where we were sitting the whole time we were there even though it was not in use.

My book club met here because the book I chose took place on a train. The servers were SO nice and accommodating and we all had a great time. It was nice that they knew what gluten free and vegan meant, but I did suggest they add more vegan options to the new menu! My kids would love the atmosphere, but they wouldn’t be able to eat anything. Even just having a veggie burger and fries that is fully vegan would be fantastic! Overall, I feel this is a nice little gem in the area and I would love to come back with my kids and husband some time. 🙂

It’s perfect for taking kids on weekends. After dinner, they can play all day long. There are game consoles inside.
