After my third time being confronted by staff I’ve finally had enough. I’ve been insulted by staff and called derogatory names because they thought I was someone else and when I said I wasn’t the person the staff lady thought I was she doubled down and still called me “Cornhole boy”. And since then the most recent time I was confronted she reason for coming up to me was “you’re dancing wired and you’re all alone” I literally had two drinks and no one else was dancing and I enjoy dancing so obviously I was dancing! This is literally the worst bar I’ve ever been to. Please don’t go there the staff is abhorrent and showing them support is a disgrace.

The staff are incredibly rude. By far the worst bar experience I’ve had in my life. I was confronted for “dancing too weird” Please do not support this horrible establishment.

The staff are so horrible. Every time I’ve been they’ve insulted me . The last time was because of me (dancing weird) I literally had two drinks. I’m so sick of this place. Please do not go, supporting this place is a crime.

While advertised as an inclusive and open-minded setting, I have seen women consistently be treated like second class citizens, not only by unchecked patrons but by the staff themselves. Seems the drama obsessed nature of Rutland overshadows the importance of professionalism. A girl should not be shamed for wearing a cute outfit for a night on the town because of jealousy.

Wow! What a great experience! Not sure what that other review was talking about, but the DJ loves Chappell Roan. He plays it every week. He must have been joking, I heard “he’s a funny guy” haha. I doubt the DJ is homophobic… I heard him talking about doing drag the other day for something the alley hosts (Drag Karaoke) (also, see ad attached!), but oh well! Anyway, the music is always great, tons of video games, and the driving simulator is a blast! There is also pool and darts (I think they also have guitar hero and a wii!) Oh yeah! The bathroom ran out of paper towels, so I just asked… And they refilled the machine! Wow! Imagine that! I took a silly picture of the DJ too (attached). Highly recommend! The DJ WILL IN FACT PLAY BRING ME TO LIFE BY EVANESCENCE! YOU SHOULD ASK! Fun place, bring your mom on Friday nights! (It’s your mom’s night!)

I went there last night for the second time in my entire life for my friend’s Birthday. As we walked, in the smell of cigarettes inside the place was highly noticeable. The bartenders were cordial but the alcohol selection for mixed drinks was limited (cheap cheap liquor) and the bar lacked even limes for drinks which I’ve never experienced before. There’s also a literal sewage pipe that runs from floor to ceiling on the dance floor as it’s a basement venue in an old building.
The crowd was pretty big in my opinion. When I went to use the bathroom it was one of the nastiest bar bathrooms I’ve witnessed in my entire life (not the venues fault) from folks with “poor aim”. There was no paper towels.
Later in the night my friend requested the song “pink pony club” by Chapelle Roan to be played. He played it but announced that he was playing it with “great reluctance”. Some people sang and enjoyed the song, others walked off the dance floor and I overheard a woman say “what has this place become”.
I realize it’s Rutland Vermont, but as a gay man I’ve never witnessed anything so large but subtlety homophobic as Chapelle Roan is a queer icon and queer artist. This really took the cake for me especially when the DJ mentioned he was playing it reluctantly. You don’t have to like a song but as a DJ you should keep those opinions to yourself.
I would not recommend this as a place at all for queer people to go to, and would only recommend it to those who want to go to a complete dive for cheap drinks and a fun time if they’re able to make themselves have a fun time. Set your expectations lowwwwww with this place.
The games in the back were kinda fun but set up as if a middle schooler was rushing to connect a console to play a game one time to their old TV with wires strung out.

Super chill place. Open mic Tuesdays, DJ on Fridays but what is super jamming is the karaoke on Thursday and Saturdays with Tenacious T. If you haven’t gone to sing your missing out. I’m not sure what’s going on there Wednesdays. Go check it out sing or dance have fun either way!

Great place to hang out dance , have a drink or two and listen to great music. The staff is great and the feeling you get when you come in is like your family not just another customer. They have something going on every business day.

Just saw I had a 1 star review for this place on here 9 years – needed to update!! The inhouse DJ is an absolute beauty and has put so much work into creating a really fun environment. There’s no where else in the town that you can go to dance every week. My band played a show here about a month ago and it was an awesome night and went smooth!!

Fantastic night life spot in downtown Rutland! Always have either a DJ or Live band on the weekends! All of the Bartenders are friendly and efficient in making sure there customers are satisfied. The building it self has a great sense of character and since the recent updates it has such a great vibe. Plenty of bouncers on the clock for there more busy nights. I always feel safe when I am here. The owner truly cares about this bar and what it offers for the City of Rutland. My only reason for four stars is the lack of food options, Please be aware that they do not have a kitchen.
