Hey this place is on the side of a church and the food is blessed! I had the fish it was cooked fresh two different types of whole wing flavor bbq and regular both were seasoned and crispy good. Great food and service. We thought we where lost but pulled over n called n yes they are inside the church. If ur looking for good homade food this the place. Will deff be back more than a few times. Wish they where open everyday but least they’re only closed Mondays.

When first entering the establishment it had an odd smell to it. There were several people there but I was greeted by only one person. The woman serving me seem tired and wasn’t as friendly as expected it. I must have came after the rush because very little food was left over. I got the baked chicken rice and greens. The baked chicken had no flavor or seasoning. I had her to put gravy over it which was a mistake. I also had the rice which was a little bland. The greens were the only thing that tasted good and very flavorful on the plate. The gravy tasted like flavorless flour I have very little flavoring to it. I was very disappointed I was expecting really good soul food. There was no menu on the wall and I had to ask for the price. I would not go back nor recommended it.

I’ve been eating here for almost 10yrs. Today I visited and to walk in and see a staff I’ve never seen before. I purchased baked chicken and two sides. I take a bit of the chicken which tasted odd to find out it was leftover meat. The meat looked mummified.

I liked it. The service is slow slow slow…. I understand it’s volunteer work I hope the pastor is paying them because they are definitely making money hand-over-fist however for it to be a buffet line it definitely should not take as long as it does to get in and out of the door. The food is GOOD at best. You order fish it’ll take your entire lunch half hour to an hour to get. I think with a bit of reorganizing and prioritizing customer centered missed it could go from okay we’re good to better great will take a minute.

My absolute favorite soul food spot here in columbus, oh. located within a church. The food is awesome, because the spirits behind cooking the food are awesome. very very beautiful spirited staff. I Highly recommend, grabbing lunch from there. Cash only!! which i don’t mind.

One needs to walk through this kitchen in order to vote. While i was tempted, I didn’t order anything. They’ve got it set up cafeteria style, and that day they were offering crispy fried chicken baked macaroni and cheese, green beans, greens, and I think I saw sweet potatoes. It all looked so good and smelled divine. I’ve promised myself to get a plate next time I drive by.

Found this hidden gem a couple years ago and I have to say it’s one of our favorites. The meatloaf is to die for, the lemonade is wonderful, Mac and cheese and green beans is awesome the sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes is very good as well. Yesterday we stopped and they was closing the next couple hours so the meat selection wasn’t our favorite options but we ended up getting Salisbury steak and it was also good but that meatloaf yum. I think that’s all what we’ve eaten. But hands down a great place to get stuff that feels like your mom or grandma made. Feels like home
