Food is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is delightful! I eat lunch here every time I’m in town. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty, healthy meal.
Additionally, my family and I took advantage of their Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was wonderful, and the stuffing, rolls and pecan pie were ‘to die for’! Thanks for making our Thanksgiving meal easier and more delicious!

Provisions Bistro is a gem in the heart of downtown Wharton. The decor is warm, inviting, and reminiscent of something Joanna Gaines (from the TV show “Fixer Upper”) would put together; combining both class and southern charm.
The service was excellent. My order was taken with a smile and served fresh. Speaking of fresh, every item on my plate was as fresh as could be. The food was fresh, well prepared, plated with care and beautiful. The bruschetta was plated so beautifully, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to eat it or just spend the evening looking at it.
If you looking for a fine dining experience that is fresh, healthy, and delicious, then I recommend Provisions Bistro. I will be back soon even though I live quite a distance away. And no, I was not paid for this review. You’ll have to try it for yourself.

I live about 2+ hours away but I will go way out of my way to visit this wonderful bistro in Wharton! The menu features the freshest farm-to-table fare and everything I’ve ever had is mouth-wateringly delicious. I’m trying to organize a motorcycle ride out there with some girlfriends so they can enjoy this little hidden gem the way I have.

Up front, I probably won’t eat here again. The food was delicious, and Leanne, our server was great, but since I don’t eat pork for religious reasons, there was little left on the already abbreviated menu to eat. Leanne looked out for us warning that the fries are cooked in lard. Prices were high, but not too bad for locally sourced and organic fare. I could recommend it, but only for those who eat pork AND insist on fru-fru food.

Wharton is so fortunate to have been chosen by Provisions to call their home Wharton. Provisions is a first class bistro. The design and decor is so cute and impressive. We ordered the chef’s choice for the week. Not only was the food attractive, but it was delicious. I am recommending Provisions to all my friends.

What a great place to stop for healthy, delicious food and a charming atmosphere. It’s so good, we wish we lived closer! Will definitely be coming back to try other items on their well thought out menu.

Upon arrival I expected great food and a nice atmosphere without the drive to a larger city. Inside, the layout was very nice just as I expected. There were 2 customers already in line to order when I walked in with my mother and son. The owner, Debra Medina, was working the register and as soon as my mother was next she said that the guy working with her would help my mom. At this moment I became suspicious of prejudice treatment because we are of color and so was the male worker. There was no other help and I expected to wait awhile, I was in no rush, so this did not bother me. While waiting on our separate orders, other customers came in, Debra again started taking their orders. By this time I picked up a cookie and stood at the end of the line to purchase the cookie. While waiting in line, the guy working handed us our ‘to go’ orders. As soon as I got to the register, Debra started filling glasses with ice without a “hello” or acknowledgment of my presence, then she looked up at me and told me she had to do something and the guy would check me out! All I had was a COOKIE! The black guy checked me out for the second and final time. My family and I walked out feeling that we were living in the 60’s! Only five minutes later we stopped to eat our food and the fries were barely warm and the bread on our panini was hard. The food was dry and I felt I could have done better at home. Also my cookie was more closer to peanut brittle, it was so hard! I have never written a review in my life for a restaurant but with this horrible experience, I felt the need to share. I will not be ever going back to this restaurant. And if anyone asks me of this place, I will again tell anyone of what I had to encounter. I pray that the owner will someday open her eyes to see everyone the same.

Thank you for bringing something so fresh to our community! Great service and great food. We really needed a change in atmosphere. Another great reason to eat in Wharton and not have to go north.

Beautiful building and interesting menu, however the “vegetarian” options are practically inexistent and the tiny $8 bowls of lettuce are a sorry excuse for a salad. This place is good for taking aesthetically pleasing Instagram pictures though.

This beautiful place is just down the way from a beautiful little bookstore and a lovely little clothing outfit. The staff here are so polite and nice. The food is delicious and I would highly recommend the truffle fries.
