They opened at 11. I ordered and paid by 11:02.. there was 1 customer ahead of me, no customers after me for quite some time. I didn’t get my food until 11:40am. The fried rice was plain. I guess I’m used to peas/carrots/onion and or eggs in typical fried rice. And they forgot my orders of eel sauce. The Philly roll, there were a few rolls that had almost no salmon what so ever.. I seen a worker there working with (looked liked steamed rice) with his bare hands. Other then that. The sushi and hibachi was pretty good. No hype over the fried rice though.
I don’t give bad reviews because I have a chip on my shoulder. I give them when the place is horrible.
I ordered egg rolls and chicken and shrimp noodle meal.
I placed my order at 4:28 and the food wasn’t ready until 5:21.
All that time sitting around I realized they not only didn’t paint the restaurant but clearly didn’t wash the walls.
The egg rolls were barley warm, and they lack flavor. The noodles were over cooled and were a clump. The entire experience was bad.
Thank God I didn’t order sushi or anything
raw.
As a basic roll, the winter roll was pretty good, but oh my, the big daddy and South California rolls were incredible.
I’m surprised they list the South California with the basic rolls because it definitely belongs with the special rolls. And the big daddy, fageddaboutit. If you don’t try it at least once you’ll be missing out on a truly remarkable sushi roll.
Out the door was a little over $40 +a tip. I’ve spent more on sushi that didn’t make me want to drive back across town to get more.
Apologies for the “after” photo of the big daddy roll.
100% I’ll be eating here again, but trying other rolls, and enjoying $1 a piece Crab Rangoon.
The meat and veggy portions are very small, and the rice is very bland. Some of the steak was very chewy. I could not eat it. The spider roll had lettuce on it. That was my error, I guess I didn’t think the spring mix was lettuce, or I wouldn’t have ordered it.
If the food would had been better, I would give them another try, but it was not.
