Food was great! The poke bowl was not too bad, although I feel that the ahi could have been fresher. The tacos were of good size and overall a lot of delicious food served for lunch. The family had a great time. Cash is preferred here. Otherwise be prepared to pay an extra 3% for credit card processing fees (which typically should be covered by the restaurant).

Umekes is great. My coworkers kept recommending coming here and try the Poke. It did not disappoint I order the DA AVO poke nachos and it was delicious, I strongly recommend it. If you ever in Kona, go to Umekes and give it a try if your looking to eat fresh fish!!!

I would eat everything on this menu, twice. We each got poke bowl; the avo with the Loki salmon and i got the sweetie with the spicy crab. It’s probably the best meal I’ve had so far and I’ve rated quite well the last few days during my visit. I got a sweet mai tai which is hard to beat. Got seats at the bar and billy was great. As busy as he was working alone he still made sure we had timely service and some conversation. TVs at the bar which was nice for NFL. I need to go back and the problem is I’d be battling to get something other than poke as much as I want it.

Tldr; Nice seafood, enjoyable location for a date!
We ordered the Poke bowl and Lau Lau. The Lau Lau was a nice dish, unique, and had great flavor balance. The leaf wrap pork really had savory flavor. The poke bowl was fresh but the sauce was a little heavy; a tad salty. Overall a great place for a dinner date. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

I’ve been here three times already and I honestly love this place. The poke bowls are always super fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully put together — honestly, the best poke I’ve ever had.
The service is excellent, everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are really good for the portion sizes and quality. It’s such a chill spot and one of those places you keep coming back to because it never disappoints. Definitely recommend!

The poke was awesome. We got the Poke Nachos and the old boy. The chef flavor of the day, hottie and sweet. Everything had great flavor. Our server gave great suggestions. We even had the coconut ice cream and fried ice cream with coconut and taro. We loved everything and we will be back. The portions are generous.

The best food I had in years. We got the Makai platter. It’s huge and certainly too big for two. It’s relatively easy to eat all the fresh fish, but the deep fried fish, calamari and prawns are harder to manage by two. We took them to the hotel and had it for lunch. It was still delicious, a very good sign of freshness.

Poke is quite good, had the spicy and sweet. Will likely try the avo next.
Korean wings had a good flavor and crisp, no issues for my wife, to me it was lacking any spiciness typical of gochujang used when making Korean wings so I wouldn’t order them again personally.
Can recommend for poke, will likely be back.

The fish here is really fresh. My wife usually can’t eat raw fish because of the fishy smell, but here it didn’t taste fishy at all—so she really enjoyed it.
