Featuring its own tandoor (clay oven), this welcoming Indian restaurant features tandoori specials.

Part of enjoying food is the experience. Not only is the one dish swimming in grease to the point it’s not edible but the oil was so thick is seeped out of container and all over my seat in the car. I made sure I did not tilt it due to concerns of spillage. I enjoy to cook and appreciate how oil can bring wonderful flavours-this is an access. This is our first time ordering from this restaurant and sadly we were looking forward to it.

JMK Mahal is the best place if you guys want to have frozen naan and overnight vegetables
This restaurant beats every restaurant in the town in bad quality food
So I highly recommend to everyone to reach out this restaurant if you guys like frozen naans, frozen vegetables and wasting your money.
There is no doubt that their prices are cheap than other restaurants, but their food is also very cheap.

Really great food. Every time we order something new-never been disappointed but it is getting harder to decide what to order because everything is so good. Malai Kofta is a family favourite, naan is delicious, barfi sweets end the meal perfectly. Food is hot and served/delivered quickly.

Happy to see this place spring back after a fire during covid if I recall correctly… Went for the Dinner Buffet. They have a lunch buffet every day I think. The dinner buffet is Friday through Sunday. Tasty food, seemed like good quality ingredients. With a nice variety of dishes. There was a lot of available seating and the place wasn’t busy (2 other tables in use), which is why the service was kinda shockingly bad (there was a high staff to guest ratio). I think it might have been just bad luck, or maybe just the person responsible doesn’t understand buffet service expectations. In my opinion, even at a buffet service is important. Plus it’s an opportunity for the staff to earn tips to share with the kitchen etc. It would take much effort to really elevate the experience. Clearing the plates, bringing more water, asking if I wanted anything else to drink… I just didn’t feel the care you want to feel eating out somewhere. Hope the owner / manager sees. Will come back sometime and try again to see if it’s a consistent issue.

I recently visited JMK Mahal Restaurant for their lunch buffet, and it was an okay experience. The buffet offered a decent number of dishes, but the quality was hit-or-miss. For appetizers, there were only two options – tandoori chicken and samosa. Unfortunately, the tandoori chicken was dry and not impressive.
The main course had two chicken items, and the butter chicken was the highlight – it was flavorful and enjoyable. The vegetable mix was just average, and the rice was good. However, I was disappointed that they ran out of basic salad items like onions and cucumbers by 1:30 PM, and they didn’t replenish them even after we asked. This was a letdown, especially since the buffet was supposed to be available until 3 PM.
Overall, it was an okay experience, and the price of $15 per person was reasonable. However, I hope they improve their buffet offerings and replenish items more regularly to enhance the dining experience.

We really enjoyed the weekend evening buffet. Love that there’s contemporary Indian music videos playing, although there were scantily clad women in the rap videos, which was weird for us. The food is quite good and the place is great for a date night I’d say. The paneer pakora is great value. It’s worth checking out.

I was really looking forward to trying some Indian sweets from JMK Mahal, but my experience was disappointing. I ordered gulab jamun, rasmalai, and kheer. The gulab jamun was completely dry and not soaked in chashni, the rasmalai was missing from the order, and the kheer had no flavor or dry fruits — it just tasted like sweet rice in milk.
I called the restaurant and informed them about the missing rasmalai, and they said they would give me a free one with my next order. However, after seeing the quality of the other sweets, I don’t think I’ll be ordering again. I really hope they improve the quality and authenticity of their sweets in the future.

I ordered online in the morning to pick up my order at 4:30 in the afternoon as the day was going to be busy and wanted dinner organized for company after a concert we were attending.
I had the invoice/receipt right away via email along with my 20% gratuity. When I arrived to pick up this prearranged order, it wasn’t ready as they had no record of it. I showed them the confirmation of order email I received after I had done my online order and they actually made me feel like I was in the wrong because O had placed this order BEFORE they had opened.
As someone who worked for years in reception/customer service, I know the first thing you do when you open is check messages and emails … which they had failed to do and then made me feel badly for not ordering within their opening hours – super weird, especially when reviews and repeat customers should be their focus.
