I ordered from Chicken Meets Rice through UberEats because I had a late-night craving for wings. They had an amazing BOGO deal, so I got 16 wings for just $19. As someone who grew up with traditional Chinese flavors, the salt and pepper wings didn’t taste exactly like what I expected, but they were still really good.

What made the experience even better was sharing the wings with my dad while watching soccer late at night. It reminded me of the simple moments we used to enjoy together—just good food, a good game, and family time. Those moments mean a lot, and the wings definitely made the night feel special.

Well, I started out today going over to Chicken Meets Rice because I like this place. But after seeing how hard everybody’s working behind the counter and at the cash register, I got a better appreciation for it.

Jose spent a lot of time explaining to me the different sauces even though I know he was very busy at lunch hour.

So I went from liking the place to loving it. Added benefit they have options to help stay on that New Year’s resolution

I’m not a fan of ordering from a kiosk, I like to ask questions about the food, portion sizes, etc. but that’s what you get …
After navigating that experience, the food actually came fairly quickly, maybe 10 mins.

Rice was very dry, I needed to ask for a lot of sauces to mix in apparently. Chicken was okay. Whole time I was eating, some car in the parking lot was sitting there with it’s ultra bright headlights shining directly into my face. Seating directly toward the windows was a poor idea. Now I know.
Would I come again? Well. It wasn’t a great experience, but it wasn’t terrible either. There are too many other excellent options in the bay area to settle for ok food. Yeah. So no.

Dropped in for a quick lunch while I was in the area. Didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised! Great food, reminds me of home (Malaysia). Got the half and half to sample the 2 types of chicken – The Hainanese white chicken was the most tender and succulent while the Thai grilled chicken had a slightly crispy skin and meat was a little more cooked but still good – all served on a bed of chicken rice with a bowl of soup and 2 sauces. Order at a kiosk, brought to your table, clean, fast and tasty. I ordered extra protein for $5 all in all lunch was $23 (tax included) a little steep for lunch but I have leftovers for dinner.

There shouldn’t be any salad dressing on Hainanese chicken — this one has way too much on top.

Food was delicious and ready for me to pick up as planned. East order system and the food was fantastic. I did the fried chicken and grilled chicken 1/2 and 1-2 with chicken rice as my first try and was not disappointed. They will stay on my list!

Classic chicken-rice plate—juicy bird, aromatic rice, and zingy ginger-garlic sauce. Fried wing is just okay.

Great place for Hainan chicken! Easy to order and super fast with cooking. I like how you can choose diff sauces instead of getting set ones.

Inside has lots of seating and outside has lots of parking.

Food is good. BUT I’ve come here several times and the “service” is non existent. They don’t even call your name out when it’s ready. Just put it on the shelves and expect you to look for it.

No reason to tip anyone who works here with their non caring attitude.

Highly recommend just staying away from this place. Low quality service restaurants don’t deserve your hard earned money when they don’t care anyways.
