This newly opened gourmet cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and coffee is a must see in Newport and a place you’ll want to come back to again and again and again (like we did)! Everything is incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and oh, soooo delicious! The freshly ground coffee beans are rich and perfectly brewed…the Chefs and Baristas are clearly passionate about what they do. Great energy and positive vibes make you want to hang out just a little bit longer! Highly recommended and we can’t wait to go back!

This is a new breakfast and brunch place in Newport. It’s in a remodeled location that was formerly a coffee spot and a shop. They have a great coffee bar and a fantastic menu. I had the classic breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread and it was terrific. The bread was like a light sourdough and it had a sauce on it that really made the sandwich. This wasn’t an egg, piece of bacon, and a slice of cheese on two pieces of bread. This was a unique sandwich. One that I’ll be back for regularly!

Delish! The avocado toast and The Fifth Ward Latte were a great way to start my work week. The staff are cheerful and the owners made a point to take a few minutes to converse with customers. I appreciate the family and local vibe. Love what the new owners have done to the building as well. Looking forward to trying other menu options and excited for a nearby cafe.

New go to spot in Newport! Amazing lattes- The Fifth Ward with cinnamon and vanilla is delicious- grab and go food, sandwiches, smoothies everything you could want to fill you up! Completely renovated space and the most kind, local owners. Family friendly, cozy seating, TVs and free parking. Don’t miss this space, sure to be slammed come summer time!

Extremely overpriced. $8-$10 small lattes that are mostly ice. Food, atmosphere, and price are significantly less competitive than other nearby boutique cafes such as Cafe Beaucoup and Gardiner Provisions. I hope they get things sorted out! I would love them to succeed! They could use some more decorations to art on the walls; a lot of empty white space.

The place itself is very nice. The chairs aren’t that comfortable if you’re there more than half an hour. The prices are very high. I got a SMALL latte listed as $8 that came out to $9.10. So there is 13.75% of tax + something else added on. It’s a nice place but no one is going back if it’s that expensive. Everyone I have talked to agrees that is way too much.

The coffee was yummy and came in a cute little cup. The sandwiches were SO good-the “get spicy” was unreal. Everyone was super polite

It’s a cute place but we ordered a turkey sub which was $15 and there was almost no turkey on it. It was just bread. We could’ve gone to jersey mikes and had gotten at least 3 times the amount of protein. The place is extremely overpriced for their menu and sizes.

BLAT had one piece of bacon. It took 30 minutes to get and was $14 that included a 15 percent tip that was given before I realized it took 30 minutes to make the BLAT. The restaurant has good potential but the operational processes need a quick redesign to be able to provide high quality service. I really want the place to succeed !
