We stopped in at Moon River Marina Restaurant, and it was a great experience all around! I ordered the popcorn fried shrimp, which was crispy and flavorful. It came with a side of onion rings, hush puppies, and coleslaw. The hush puppies were perfectly golden and delicious, and the onion rings had that homemade taste, but I personally didn’t care for the coleslaw—it was a bit too tangy and watery for my liking.
The highlight of our visit, besides the food, was definitely our waitress! She was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. You can tell she enjoys her job and takes pride in making her guests feel welcome.
We also ordered pizza, as seen in the photo—regular crust, generously topped with bacon, ham, sausage, and cheese. It was hot, cheesy, and full of flavor. The crust had a great texture—crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.
The setting is casual, perfect for a laid-back meal with family or friends. It wasn’t overly packed, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. I’d absolutely recommend stopping here if you’re in the area—especially if you enjoy good service and hearty food!

Arrived at 4pm for dinner with another couple. Had been here before when the food WAS good & realize the place has been sold since but sorry to say it was a disappointing experience this time. Food was sub par and that’s being polite. The cook needs to enroll in Cooking 101. Fries were burnt and hush puppies weren’t done. It also took forever to get our order from the kitchen to our table even though we had the place to ourselves. Realizing the coleslaw sides were missing we asked our server why & were told they didn’t have any but no mention of that when we ordered.
So it would seem logical to offer a substitution but no such luck. Have these folks ever heard about the concept of good customer service? It’s the foundation for building a customer base and vital for the success of any enterprise & especially the restaurant business. But because of this experience we don’t plan to return & as locals we certainly can’t recommend them to anyone!

In town for a trip. Decided to stop in for dinner. People out back drinking and listening to music. 1 table dining inside. Walked in. No one at the front desk. Waited and waited. Finally we just went and sat down. Waited some more. Restaurant staff looked at us multiple times from the kitchen areas as they all talked amongst each other and played on their phones and never acknowledged us. Finally got up and asked one of the ladies in the kitchen politely if they were still serving dinner. She responded that they absolutely were. So i sat down and waited for someone to come take our order. At this point they without a doubt knew we were there as they walked by us waiting on a table directly across from us multiple times. A gentleman from somewhere finally appeared at the desk/register which we were seated right next to and began taking phone orders. We sat there 15 or 20 minutes and not one single person spoke 1 word to us. We might as well have been on the moon with the service (or absolute lack of) that we got. I really dont know what their deal was but ill never go back. I wish i could give ZERO stars but unfortunately thats not an option.

I have lived in this area since 2011, this place has changed ownership numerous times since 2011. It just cannot get any worse. I feel like I’m on the movie set of Deliverence or the Blue Cat “Ozarks”. It is humanly impossible for a place to be run so poorly. It is actually kind of sad from a local perspective, has great potential to be a great hang out for locals and weekend boaters, just never works. I guess it is from the lack of workers and those they hire are, well, pretty rough looking!!! sad, sad, sad!!
