A very special historic place that locals don’t want you to know about unless you are part of the Jupiter Historical Society and share a deep appreciation for historic preservation and fine delights for the likeminded❤️ While it might look like just another Old Florida home from the outside, the house at 322 Center Street in Jupiter is anything but ordinary. Built in 1924, today it stands as an important piece of South Florida history, a historical property once home to Eli and Essie Sims — daughter to Jupiter’s first female postmaster Ethel Sims and South Florida pioneer Charlie Pierce. And, just a few years ago, it could have met its end. will find its new life as a restaurant, venue, and historical landmark in the heart of Jupiter, FL❤️

I came here to celebrate my birthday and had a really enjoyable experience. Because it was Valentine’s Day weekend, I was greeted with a rose and glass of proseco as soon as we were seated. Very limited menu, which is not a bad thing. Everything we had was fresh and well executed. As a Jupiter native, it’s nice to see the history of the house being preserved.

I had the pleasure of eating at The Sims House last night and it was an absolute amazing experience. From the moment we walked in I was greeted with genuine excitement and warmth. This place is a true Gem to the community and I am happy that it was preserved and nurtured by passionate people that make you feel at home no pun lol. The Lemon Caper Fish Piccata over Linguine was amazing! Looking forward to coming back again, can’t wait to try the churrassco. Thank you Ernie, Jon & team for the impact that you provide in the community.

I booked a reservation for my boyfriend’s 24th birthday at this “Hidden Gem” and it was perfect! The historic building is beautiful, with charming decor and a romantic, intimate vibe. Owners Ernie & John made us feel like family, and John’s service was exceptional! The food was delicious, and the ambiance made for a fantastic birthday celebration! We’re already looking forward to returning for another special outing or just “popping in” for a casual drink after the beach. Highly recommend this place!

My wife and I live in New Jersey, but have been coming to Jupiter for more than 20 years; and we have dined at all the usual places around town.
On 2/12/2026, we decided to celebrate Valentines Day a few days early, and try some place we had never been, The Sims House.
John greeted us at the door, and we were all friends after about five minutes. John is just one of those guys.
We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful romantic night, had the most delicious dinner; salmon for my bride, and a cheesburger for me, cheesecake for desert. Everything was fresh and prepared beautifully.
Our new friend, John, then introduced us to Ernie, who was every bit as nice as John.
John and Ernie are two very normal, friendly, polite, funny, and nice guys. Gentlemen.
My wife and I have been around the block more than a few times, but we have never had a more pleasant Valentines Day dinner, thanks to John and Ernie.
So, if you want to try someplace really special and different, The Sims House can’t be beat.
John and Ernie treat everyone with dignity, respect, and good old fashion kindness (what a concept, right?).
Thanks again, John and Ernie, until next time!

I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful historical place last night. The atmosphere and staff were warm and inviting. My absolute favorite thing— I loved the concept of community (shared by the owner). I think it would be cool to do a family-style seating arrangement on certain nights. Guests could make reservations, and then be seated with strangers at the same table upon arrival. That gets people mingling and bringing a sense of community back, something we seem to be losing in the digital age. I loved this place! The food was great! My only two recommendations- please provide bread, either complimentary or for a price, and hopefully one day, espresso martinis can be added to the bar! Please go out and support this local gem! You’ll be very impressed!
