decided to give this place a try today for the first time. Food was ok but not great. I ordered the Chicken & dressing with mac & mashed potatoes and yams.. chicken & dressing was room temp not Hot and fresh, the same is true with the yams and mashed potatoes. All of the food lacked flavor, the Yams were not sweet at all. mac and cheese was very thick. long story short definately NOT a place ill be back to ill stick to my Garden Gate

Recently I have been thinking about my grandma’s cooking growing up so I came by for breakfast and it did not disappoint! I got 2 sunny side up eggs. A biscuit and gravy. Bacon. And a side house brown with cheese and jalepenos. I will definitely be stopping by to get breakfast again.

Great prices, great service and the food was delicious. I had a delicious breakfast here. The western omelet was probably one of the best omelets I’ve ever had and that’s usually something I don’t expect from a small diner. Don’t sleep in this place if you want a good meal!

Great restaurant! Food and service was excellent! We wanted to eat “local” rather than a chain. Our waitress was very friendly. They had “chocolate gravy” on the menu, which my wife had not had since she was a child and I had never had. Actually, I had heard about it, but never seen it on a menu. Our waitress was kind enough to bring a small sample for me to try. It was good, I would probably put it on ice cream rather than a biscuit.
If we get back to the Florence area, we will definitely be eating breakfast at Homeside again.

This is the absolute worst place my family has ever eaten at. Sunday morning, rainy day, ½ empty parking lot. Not busy at all and had an absolutely terrible experience.
Food: We had 2 Philly Omelets with a side order of hash browns and 3 pancakes with bacon.
Both of the hash brown orders were burnt and one of them had a beard hair in it. Tasted like they scraped the grill char bits in with our orders. The bacon was burnt to a crisp so crunchy couldn’t be chewed. One of the omelets had a 3 inch white hair in it. The biscuits were cold and dry.
Drinks: Coffee was burnt. We waited for 15 minutes on a refill for Dr. Pepper. Only plus in the drinks is the sweet tea was true sweet tea.
Service: Callie/Carly- While her demeanor was sweet, her service was trash. She walked past us 4 times before acknowledging that we had 2 empty cups of coffee and an empty glass of Dr. Pepper. We had to ask another waitress for a refill. We sat without a visit from our waitress for over 15 minutes. They were not busy at this time. It was pouring down rain outside. My partner and I had high hopes with the reviews on here and it let us down.

Love this place! Took my mom and she hasn’t quit talking about what a treat it was! The service was excellent and the food was too! We had the Western omelette and the 2 eggs with bacon plate. Plus biscuits (that are huge!) and chocolate gravy. Tea was perfect! Everything was absolutely delicious! If you want a meal like Momma or Mamaw used to make, this is your spot!

1st. Time trying Homeside Restaurant, for my Birthday Breakfast. Teresa was our waitress, Home Fries weren’t on the menu, but she made it happen l, then brought out this Pie out to me & sang me Happy Birthday too. Food & Service were Amazing & quickly out to our table. This is Definitely our new Breakfast Restaurant!!!!!

My parents n I came to Florence for an eye appointment. Finished up before lunch n I was looking up places to eat. Absolutely delicious!! My mom n I got omelets, dad got over easy eggs, country name n biscuit n gravy. We will definitely be telling others n we will be coming back!!
