So for the last two days, they have had their food truck at our apartment complex in Champions Gate Florida. I miss them the first day, but I was driving in today and saw them so I walked over to check them out. It was technically past my dinner time, but I was a little hungry and figured it couldn’t hurt to try something. If you haven’t had their food, it is Quite a small food truck, but with some excellent choices. I have never had Venezuelan food, but I willing to try anything once. When I walked up, I was greeted by the lady running it and offered a menu. For such a small food truck they have a lot to offer. We talked for a bit and I asked what the best empanada would be. She told me her favorite was the shredded beef and that it is also their biggest seller so I had to give it a try. It was four hours and $.50 plus tax and I gave a tip. The empanadas are a decent size and the average person could probably eat two of them or one with something else. Being is that it was a bit late for me. I just got one. I have never had any of their other food before so I don’t have anything really to compared to, but I have had empanadas before Through other cultures. I have to say that this was one of the best empanadas I have had in the area. I was really impressed that it was completely packed full with shredded beef. Quite often when I go somewhere they are maybe halfway filled. This made this one much more impressive to me. I had it up in our apartment and it stayed nice and hot. It was packed with flavor and I really liked it. I do like things a little spicier and ended up adding all Ursa after I had just tried it on its own. Now that I know where their restaurant is, I hope to try some of their other offerings to get a broader view of Venezuelan food in Florida.
