We absolutely love Mexican food and eat it all the time, but this place truly stands out — it’s the best we’ve ever had! The flavors are incredible, everything tastes so fresh and authentic. The quesadillas, tacos, and birria are simply outstanding. Every bite was perfect! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves real Mexican cuisine — it’s a must-try!

Overall, the entrees were good. Server was very prompt at first. No complementary chips and salsa. Never been in a Mexican restaurant where these werent provided. We ordered a trio combo appetizers. The tortilla chips were somewhat stale. The appetizer portions were small, especially the salsa. We all had various taco dishes. The Birria were very good. The restaurant was not busy at all, 2 tables occupied at 6pm.

It was quite spendy. We were a party of 5 and the server auto-included his gratuity and he was more generous than I would have chose to be.

Went to Tacos, Tequila and Rum for taco Tuesday. The place was full and we sat at the bar. It is smallish place with the usual Mexican decor. The two working the bar and serving food really hustled. Getting orders, informing what is available and getting customers happy. We had tacos and they are average size and delicious. Only $2 each! Overall good quality and would return.

I was in Florida on a business trip and had a serious craving for Mexican food. I gave this place a shot, and over two nights, I tried the street tacos—lengua, carnitas, asada—and a lengua burrito. Let me just say: this was hands-down the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had since moving away from the West Coast back in 2016.

The asada was both crispy and tender, the carnitas were exactly as they should be—slightly crisp on the edges, juicy, and full of flavor—and the lengua was absolutely spot-on. The house-made Diablo sauce had just the right balance of heat and flavor.

The staff were friendly and attentive—one even ran down the street after me when I accidentally left my credit card behind. Talk about above and beyond.

My only small suggestion would be to give the corn tortillas a quick fry in a bit of oil. When just warmed on a pan, they tend to fall apart once they cool. But honestly, that’s a minor tweak in an otherwise fantastic experience.

I really wish I’d come back for a third visit instead of wasting a meal at The Spotted Donkey. Great food, great people—I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town.

*I forgot to mention also had the birria tacos! They were amazing.

Delicious food and fast service! Went twice and would definitely recommend for Authentic Mexican. From fajitas to seafood this restaurant has a variety of options to choose from! Aguas frescas and a michelada were a must for a beach getaway! Staff was very tentative overall 10/10 experience!

From the music to the food this place is setting a pretty high bar. The staff especially the bar tender are friendly and laid back not to mention funny. We had a great time and really can’t wait to go back. The fajitas are exceptional bordering on spectacular. My only critique would be the decor it just needs a bit of help. Anyways if you are looking for great Mexican food look no further then Tacos,Tequila & Rum.

I struggled a lot writing this review because every place starts with 5 stars in my book. I loathe giving less than 4, but today it was simply based on value and experience that netted 3 stars. The staff was very friendly, but slow. We waited for everything and little things like getting supplies delivered to the front door during lunch only slowed them more. Plan your days better. Anyway, the Aquachile TrioMix is the BEST ceviche I have ever had! Amazing and very spicy! However, some nacho chips would have made this review 5 stars alone! It needs that “shovel” to carry the goodness to your lips. The Fajita Taco Salad was extremely disappointing. OMG, it had hardly any lettuce and about 1/2 pound of green peppers (not literally). See my pics for proof. It should be called green bell pepper salad tbh. The house margarita was okay at best. The $4 bottled water was just abusive. Seriously, I would have ordered beer had I known. So, margarita, 2 waters, ceviche, and taco salad with tip was $70. My experience wasn’t worth that price so wouldn’t go back. I suspect a lot of the food is probably good, but this day it just didn’t deliver.

Revisited under new management. Better decor but tacos lacked fixings & unless you want 2 beers for price of one, Taco bus has better tacos and 1 beer is 1/2 price of 2 for 1 here.

1st time back since they re-opened after flood. Nice new decor & now with table cloth & glass wall between kitchen & dining area. $2 tacos on Taco Tue is nice but tacos are the small type so will take 3-4 to be full. 2/1 beer for $6 is great.

Good basic place for Tuesday tacos with tasty tacos at $1.50-$2.00/taco & good bogo draft beer for $5.50-$6.00. Place is small so more than 4 diners would be tough to find table. Two diners are ideal & there’s a bar & counter overlooking the open kitchen. A bit noisy.

The only cheesy thing is we asked for spice sauce & they brought out green verde sauce that was not spicy & didn’t say they would charge for it. It’s not the $ but charging for spicy sauce in a Mexican restaurant & not a word about it until the bill?

Was our go to place for Tue Tacos but price is up 33% & no alcohol for now. The ground beef taco was too salty & the steak taco too dry. Will now try other places 4 Tue tacos.

UPDATE: Enjoyed fajitas on my last visit but now they’re serving breakfast at 10am and I completely INHALED a breakfast burrito! Tomorrow I’m coming back for Taco Waffles & Nutella Strawberry Pancakes!

Went for my birthday and devoured ceviche, enchiladas, and guacamole. Every bite was so fresh, flavorful and delicious! Fast and amazing service. Thanks for everything Puma and kudos to your amazing kitchen!

Oh, and Luis Miguel crafts a mean margarita!
