Absolutely incredible experience!
I recently visited this sushi restaurant and was completely blown away. The quality of the fish was unmatched — everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The rolls were creative without being overdone, and each bite felt like it was crafted with care.

The service was just as impressive — the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations (the Anago nigiri is a must-try!). The atmosphere was calm and elegant but still warm and welcoming — perfect for both a date night and a casual dinner with friends. Personal tip- Ask for Brianna as your server! She’s phenomenal !

From start to finish, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. If you’re a sushi lover (or even if you’re just dipping your toes in), this place will exceed your expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back soon! ✨

Came here with reservations for my bf’s birthday. The food overall was good. Not s lot of tuna options. The menu was smaller but still really good tasting stuff and quality. Try it out! They brought out my bf a creme brûlée for a cake! Loved that

Random sushi stop turned instant favorite! Koi off Westheimer totally reeled us in. Brianna recommended the Toyosu sashimi platter, and it was next-level fresh, like the ocean personally RSVP’d. Each bite was so good it made me pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it.

We tried a small bottle of Dassai 45 sake (dangerously smooth… consider us hooked) and the sushi? Chef’s kiss! There was a tiny wait, but Brianna swooped in with free edamame like a hero in an apron.

The vibe? Modern, cozy, and just the right amount of fancy. We wandered in on a whim and left plotting our next visit. If you love great sushi and good energy, Koi deserves a spot at the top of your list!

Overall, good not great. Ordered drinks, an app, chefs choice nigiri, wagyu hand rolls, and a royal chutori roll. Everything was okay to good. High quality sushi grade, but nothing to write home about. I was hoping to get flavor medleys and creativity on the chefs dressed nigiri plate, but was left wanting more. A bit disappointed on the wagyu hand rolls – it tasted like bulgogi meat. It’s a low to middling of the pack high end sushi restaurant in Houston. Service was a bit slow. Again – good, not great.

Came here a few times for their hand rolls, and they never disappoint. Each one is packed with fresh flavor and perfectly balanced. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making every visit a great experience. Highly recommend this spot for any sushi lover.

Food was fantastic and the lychee martini was dangerously delicious, the service left a little more to be desired for the price point.

Update: my fiancé ended up taking me here and this would be the second time at this location, the service could definitely improve a lot more. The weight staff along with the manager were making us feel rushed. The food was even more underwhelming this time around which resulted in us making the decision to blacklist this restaurant.

Great sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls! We got the miso soup, seaweed salad, sashimi platter, hand roll platter, and mad dragon roll. All were very good, sashimi was great quality. Miso soup, seaweed salad, and hand rolls were not the best I’ve ever had, but good nonetheless! Wouldn’t say it’s worth the price point, and serving sizes were quite small, but great if you’re here for the vibe.

Montrose has so many sushi spots that it is easy to miss this hidden gem a little further down Westheimer. High quality fish. Exciting ingredients. Unique and beautiful dishes. Great specials. The atmosphere is dark and intimate, and it may be one of our new favorite spots. Give it a try, and you may find yourself changing your go-to sushi spot!

We come here every time visiting Houston. One of our favorite Japanese restaurants in town. Love their truffle wagyu beef fried rice so much.
