So let me start by saying the portions here are astronomical in comparison to panda or other similar restaurants. They have good chow mein and good fried rice, the potstickers aren’t amazing but they aren’t bad either however they were really hard on the edges. So as far as the entrees go I would say this is where they dropped the ball. Either the meat was very bland and they doused I in way too much add on sauce which overpowered and inevitably ruined the other flavors that traditionally are much more apparent. On the other end they had beef and broccoli which had almost zero sauce and like everywhere they give you no beef (I got a whopping 2 pieces with 90million broccoli)
We had the lemon chicken which tasted like orange chicken and wasn’t bad just way too much sauce. We had generals chicken which wasn’t complimentary to how appealing it appeared. All in all we have seen this restaurant for so many years and never tried it until tonight and frankly I think that this won’t be on my list of restaurants I have to go to again. Was rather disappointed but understandable for the price. You can’t set high standards for cheaper Chinese food. The service was ok but I couldn’t understand a thing the lady yelled at all. They seem quick to get you through the line and paid for. The wait for potstickers was under 5 mind so service was super fast which was a plus. I recommend this place to anyone on a budget for under 15 bucks for a meal. It’s filling and rich not diabetic or diet friendly but since when is Chinese food ever either of those things…! I hope they can improve the sauce dilemmas because that alone cost them my return business.

Still the best, most affordable local spot around even after all these years. Now I take my kids here! Rarely a veggie in sight tho, if you like Chinese veggies, know what youre getting into.

I grew up in redwood city and been going here since I can remember! The staff is friendly and unlike other long time Chinese food restaurants in redwood city. Not to name any names us Chinese food has not changed still amazing food quick and easy and best of all super affordable!

Very nice people, service fast and friendly. I ordered chow mein, orange chicken, “pepper beef”, and egg roll. Maybe because it was night time, but my pepper beef didn’t have but one piece of beef. 🙁

This is a real nice gem in Redwood City for fast chinese take out. It isn’t the CHINS I grew up on off main street but this place is pretty good . What I like is their set up, enter one way, exit is a separate way. It can get busy so this was planned out nicely. There are a few seating tables inside but be aware if it gets real busy, you don’t really have any privacy. This place serves up nice hot, fresh prepared food. My favorite thing of why we always go back is because of the many options, keeps every one happy.
Oh and for convenience, they have a parking out back. If they packed your order with complimentary fortune cookies like many other chinese take outs, I would have given this place 5 stars but they dont.
