During our travel through Birmingham we chose to stop at IHOP at 9:30 am. All four of us had breakfast. I tried the new Hawaiian Cinnamon Toast with eggs and bacon. Toast was tasty, but my eggs were way under cooked. Mom had the spinach
and mushrooms omlet. It was large and looked pretty good. The eggs were under done as well and I am not sure where the extra liquid came from– mushrooms maybe? The service was super slow. It took us over hour to get our meal and they did not seem very busy, lots of empty tables. There were several groups of people waiting for a table when we left.

Food was very well presented, however tasted like it had gone fowl. Our wait time was outrageously long. As we waited for food we realized we were lucky to get a booth. Over & over long lines were present at the door. Service from the door to the table was not good. Table was also missing items that are usually there & was not entirely clean. This location offers a wifi hotspot, but not much more to shine a light on sadly.

I met someone here for a business meeting and had the best service and best breakfast that I’ve had in a long time! I’m a waffle house person but experiences like today could change my mind! I plan on coming back for some of the seasonal pancakes and French toast dishes!

DO NOT GO IF HAVE LITTLE TIME (SLOW)
Took us almost an hour to get drinks because there was only like one server for the whole restaurant, definitely short on staff. The server was nice , the Food was good like any restaurants food should be but definitely do not go if your on a time crunch. The servers were arguing the whole time 🙁

Me and my boyfriend went to this IHOP probably around 7pm on a Friday night and there were only 2 servers for the entire restaurant. You would think they would have more staff for a Friday night so it made it hard to catch our waitress because she was so busy. She also didn’t write our order down there for some of it was wrong. I definitely feel like it wouldn’t have been wrong had she written it down and not try to memorize it!! It also took quite a bit of time to get our food (once it was correct) but it was hot and good! I definitely will be going back to IHOP for the selection, but definitely to a different location!

Food was good, our server was good, however there was not enough help, one server for the whole restaurant and she was doing everything short of cooking the food. There was about 20 people in the restaurant on completely different sides. I understand that there may not be enough business to keep labor percentage down, but you will not increase business by giving slow service.

Where do I start?
The place itself was recently remodeled but don’t let that seemingly improved appearance fool you into thinking this is a good plat to eat, it isn’t.
My one, only, and last visit to this place was really poor. I went with family and while we were seated promptly it all went downhill from there. Our waitress, I don’t recall her name, I’ll call Ms. Marlboro because she smelled so bad from cigarettes that I wanted to gag anytime she walked by us or stopped at our table. While she was nice it was clear that waiting tables is not her thing. For example when sitting our plates she stuck her thumb into my pancakes, so I didn’t eat that part. She dredged her shirt into my drink while reaching across and in front of my to refill drinks for others. She complained about the cook, for good reason, to us although we weren’t there to listen to her vent.
Regarding the food the lazy cook didn’t even have all the ingredients to make my meal and yet didn’t alert the waitress until after it was done and we had already been waiting for our food. What he did throw together, sloppily I might add, wasn’t even made properly with the ingredients he did use.
Stay away from this dump. The best thing would be to clean house here and either re-staff and return to the proper standards or just close it down and perhaps something better will move in.
