Had the best lunch here during our time in Edinburgh. They had a small food menu, with daily specials, which I think was a good thing. We had the seafood linguini amd pepperoni pizza. The seafood pasta was so good and delicious, it was the fresh seafood that brought the flavours to the dish, and it was a well packed plate. The pizza was also good, simple but tasty. The tiramisu we had for dessert was top notch, not so sweet, dense but light. Melts in your mouth. They had a wide selection of wine as well. Service was great as we were well attended to. A bit on the pricier side but you do get value for money.

Cozy seafood and wine restaurant, perfect for couples and small groups. We had the seafood platter and everything was cooked perfectly. My favourite was the calamari – fresh and sweet! This also came with mussels with a cream sauce and tasty bread to dip into the sauces. We also had the caprese salad, also delicious with the fresh pesto and balsamic glaze. For dessert we had the chocolate fudge cake, slightly warmed, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a small place so recommend a reservation. We will definitely come back!

Just had the most amazing dinner here….we had no reservations and had just arrived in town from traveling. Manager/owner said we were lucky because he had one table left. We had an incredible mushroom risotto from his specials board and seafood fettuccine with long time friends. The evening was magical!

Ordered From the sea to table today is Chowder soup with Calamari, prawns, clams, mussels, smoked haddock, potato and vegetables served with a creamy Chowder like soup and a side of bread. Seafood spaghetti as well. Tastes good. The portion is relatively smaller in UK.

A fantastic time at Ecco Vino this evening with top class hospitality where the experience feels so personal. My girlfriend and I had a warm welcome with details outlined in the menu. The food was rich and delicious and the wine was fantastic. I have a feeling it would have been good wine regardless what we chose. Chris was so attentive and exceptional kind as a host. I rather want to gate keep this spot in all honesty!

I was strolling around looking for a relaxing dinner spot and I’m so happy i had stumbled upon this place! As an American new to Scotland my impression of food here has been tourist traps, Italian and Indian food. All food is considered good but not amazing. This spot tho? I would never ever be able to recreate their seafood linguine! And i feel like that’s the root of the best meals, something you can never make! I will dream of this pasta for the rest of my years!
