We tried this place about a month ago and everything we bought was delicious. The staff was very polite, so we decided to come back and order food again. Unfortunately, this time the experience was very disappointing.
When we arrived, there was confusion about the pricing, and a woman who appeared to be the owner made a scene and spoke down to her employee because one of the employees had made a mistake with the price that was given. She even said that she was going to make the employee pay for the mistake. It was uncomfortable to witness and not professional. We honestly felt really bad for the employee.
We understand that mistakes can happen, but how staff are treated in front of customers really affects the overall experience.

I was in town for a few days and ate here twice. It was absolutely delicious. The food was great, salsas, drinks, service, if I lived nearby I’d visit quite often. They didn’t have pozole on Sundays as advertised which was a bummer but I tried the chilaquiles and were fantastic. On my second visit I had the enchiladas de Mole which again were delicious. Food is made with care, you can tell. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

We were in the area for a business convention and had a break for lunch and found this place. The place was well decorated, and even having a couple of spots where you could take some great pictures. It is a small place but well worth the visit. They have great food, and the dessert was good as well. The staff was great, the food was great and I would recommend you visiting if you are in the area. Try the molcajeteada la Doña, it is very good

Visited this place on a busy Sunday , the turnaround time for the food was usual and expected ; but worth it . The Caldo de Pollo is your traditional chicken noodle soap you get just like in any Mexican Mothers house : 10/10 . The Mole Oaxaqueño was sweet and tasteful , your taste buds better be up for something new ! 10/10 . A nice warm experience at La Doñita !
