We had reservations for 6PM. Got there on time and were seated promptly. Our server didn’t show at the table for almost 15 minutes. No water, no drinks, nothing during this time. Frustrated, I asked if she was doing OK? They either didn’t want us hanging around or were trying to make up for lost time but our food came out quickly abeit too quickly. The peppers and onions for the fajitas were barely cooked. The tacos were the smallest I’ve ever had and these weren’t their street tacos. No mid service water / soda refills either. I was disappointed that there was no complimentary chips and salsa or rice and beans included with the entrees. We ordered the chocco tacos for desert and they delivered them to the table before everyone was even done with their entree. Timing all around was poor as was the overall service. Maybe an off night but still not a great experience. I’d give them another shot though.

Food was good! The wings tho… they hit different! The wings were amazing, seasoning to that bone ya hear! The sauce was good too. We do not drink but the water was good. I’m always skeptical about drinking water in other places outside the 50 states and even in some of them honestly but here it’s good. The steak and chicken fajitas were amazing. Street corn needed more flavor. Tasted like mayo on corn because there were not enough spices on that corn. The flavors were in one spot and that bite was heavenly. Maybe another day it will be better. Prices were reasonable, not expensive at all and great portions.

We were here for the Mexican food and the drinks and came back extremely impressed. We ordered a classic Margarita and a Gin Tonic, it was definitely worth every Dollar that we paid for. The food what we ordered was Fish Tacos, Shrimp Enchiladas and a salad. The taste was absolutely authentic, had the right amount of fish and also the spice.
If you love Mexican and are in St. Thomas, Agave should be on your list.

I really wanted to like this place because the food itself was solid, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

From the start, our waitress seemed annoyed with our existence. She wasn’t outright rude, but her attitude made us feel unwelcome the entire time. What made it more frustrating is that the restaurant wasn’t busy, and staff appeared to have plenty of time to chat with one another.

The street corn was good, but it came with a surprisingly small portion of chips — and they charge extra if you want more. That felt a bit nickel-and-dime, especially considering how minimal the initial serving was.

After we finished eating, we waited over 15 minutes for our waitress to return to the table. No check-in, no clearing plates — just waiting around trying to pay and leave.

After reading other reviews, it seems like similar concerns have been raised about this same waitress, which suggests this may not be a one-off experience.

Lastly, the music choice was… interesting. There were about 10 straight Morgan Wallen songs before we heard another artist, which felt a bit excessive and didn’t really match the vibe.

Overall, while the food was decent, the service and overall atmosphere were disappointing. With so many dining options in Red Hook, I would look elsewhere for a meal next time.

We had a really lovely experience here while visiting St. Thomas! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the décor created such a fun island vibe. The service was kind and attentive, and our server was knowledgeable about gluten-free and celiac-safe options, which I always deeply appreciate when traveling.

One small note for future diners: the tacos are served as just two tacos with no sides, so it’s a pretty small portion for a full meal. If you’re hungry, you may want to add something or consider another entrée. My friend ordered the enchiladas, which came with beans, rice, and all the extras — much larger portion and looked amazing. Everything we tried was flavorful and fresh.

Also, the passionfruit margarita was excellent — refreshing and perfectly balanced.

Great food, great environment, and thoughtful service. I would definitely return next time I’m on the island!

The waitress’ hair was all over the food. The hostess seemed annoyed that we decided to enter. The food was good but not great. Queso had no flavor. Pretty disappointed

Wanted a quick bite after we got off the ferry from st. John. Popped into this place and was pleasantly surprised. The one restaurant we’ve been to where they don’t run on island time. Service was fast and attentive. Food was great. Prices very reasonable. Glad we chose to have dinner here.

Excellent food. I wish I could have ate more if it but the bowl was so filling. I had the chicken bowl and added sweet potatoes to it and my husband had the shrimp bowl The nachos with the 3 dips was really good as well. I don’t eat guacamole but hubby said it was delicious. The salsa was a surprising flavor and very good and the Queso was also very good. The street corn was also very good aw well as it came in two pieces on the cob.

Saw all the reviews and thought this place was going to be wonderful. I was sadly disappointed. My wife and I got the tacos and they were very bland. The toppings on top of the meat had to make it somewhat ok. We also got the guac, queso and salsa platter. The salsa was great but the guac tasted like they spooned out some avocados and placed it in a bowl. The queso was alright but I’m normally not a big queso person. Would not feel the need to come back next time
