Went for a family dinner, this place is amazing, staff is top notch and food is so good! Owner/manager made sure we got our own private room! Our food was cooked by Yusu, who went above and beyond to make our dinner experience one of the best we have had. Will be our new favorite place.

When I first walked in, there were no customers or employees to be seen. It appears they do not have a host. The manager or owner, a man in a suit, was on the phone at the bar and aggressively waved his hand towards some employees on the other side of the restaurant. One older woman and a young man with glasses peeked around the corner, just staring at him, until the woman nudged the male to come take us to a table. He approached reluctantly, didn’t say a word, placed menus down, and quickly walked away without any greeting or introduction. It was an odd first impression, but okay, I was hoping things would improve.

Our actual server was great, though, very friendly and attentive, so no complaints there. However, the food was a huge letdown. I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi, and both were super chewy with no flavor to speak of. In the words of Gordon Ramsay, it was “bland.” For a place that looked to be a higher-end restaurant based on its decor and entrance, I was expecting so much more.

The hibachi salad had very watered-down dressing, which was surprising and kind of off-putting. I’ve never seen anything like it at a Japanese restaurant before, it was more like a soup of dressing than a proper salad. The mushroom soup was decent, but as someone who isn’t huge on soup, I can’t offer much more than that. I also got a Thai tea boba, which ended up tasting like chocolate milk, definitely not what I was expecting. On top of that, the boba wasn’t the usual tapioca balls but instead crystal balls that were harder and more jello-like. So, if you’re a fan of traditional boba, this might not be for you.

Overall, the meal cost about $35-40 per person, which felt way overpriced for what we got. The food didn’t seem to have any authentic Japanese flavor or culture behind it, and based on the staff’s interactions, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all being cooked by someone without much knowledge of Japanese cuisine. Very disappointing, and I won’t be returning.

Feb2026: 1⭐: I would not recommend this restaurant nor the servers, nor the staff workers at this location. This location sustained too many failures for this to be an accident on our visit to the location. There are many other restaurants in this complex from which to choose. How about an apology for waisted time or a visit from the restaurant manager to apologize for the failures? To add insult to this injury, was the mandatory gratuity that was charged for our table even after this terrible service, especially the server who forgot about our table service and truly had an attitude that she didn’t care about our patronage.

I arrived here at this restaurant for a special 18th birthday party celebration on Valentine’s Day with other family members. While the food was pretty good, the service was undeniably the WORST experienced from a business restaurant of this size. The Good: it’s probably the chef, who was seemingly experienced and entertaining while making the birthday girl laugh. The chef made everything a little better. The Food: the entries of all of our selected family members were seemingly decent quality and really good. The Bad: Despite a reservation, we waited, and we waited, and then we waited some more for over an hour for a chef. Why didn’t the server return to the table and communicate ANY or ALL of the delays? Why didn’t the server do that? Inconsistency: there was a table seated next to our table that was assigned a chef within 20 minutes of their arrival. The birthday girl ordered a meal from the kitchen which arrived promptly. The birthday girl completed her meal before the chef assigned to our table even arrived to start preparing our food. The Excuses: the workers inside said to us that they were really busy, but the dining room was mostly empty. Now it is a fact, every Member in our group at the table knew that this was a bold-faced lie. The Ugly: after our group finished eating, no one came to the table for over an HOUR to see if we needed anything additional, no drinks, or even if we were ready to pay out and leave. One of our group members asked three different workers for help to no avail. When our server finally appeared, she boldly admitted she thought our group had already paid out and then added that she forgot about us. How unprofessional is that for server to declare out loud. We all were extremely irritated that we watched tables who arrived after us eat, pay and then leave while we were still sitting there. Waiting for someone to come over and bring the check. While we waited for anyone to come and address the table at all. How about an apology for waisted time? No visit from the restaurant manager to apologize for the failures? Adding insult to this injury, was the mandatory gratuity that was charged for our table even after this terrible service, especially the server who forgot about us and truly had an attitude that she didn’t care about our patronage.

We had such a great experience at My Fuji Hibachi… HANDS down the best hibachi I’ve been to when it comes to customer service and the show! Our chef was amazing, making it feel like a dinner and comedy show all in one. We also tried some of their new sushi, including the recommended 3 Musketeers roll and another roll with crawfish on top. Both were sooo good! The rest of our group also ordered sushi, and everyone agreed it was fresh and delicious. The hibachi food was good, maybe could’ve used just a little more flavor, but it was still very tasty, filling, and worth the price. We liked it so much that we’re already planning to come back the next time we’re in the Dallas area. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and memorable dinner!

My first time will be my last time. Made reservations 2 weeks out. I still waited 30 minutes to sit. Then another 15 minutes to get food order. THEN, when we asked for scallops, they were out. Asked for lobster, they were out. It was only 7:45pm! How can you be out of these items on one of the biggest dinner dates, Valentines Day! I was embarrassed with my date. Wanted to show her a nice night out. She loves scallops and I love lobster.
Then, the chef that cooked for us only did one thing. The onion locomotive trick. Super boring and didn’t talk to us. The was one chef that was great! Sorry, I didn’t catch his name or I would post it here. Watched him from across the room and he gets it! Great job Sir!
Lastly, they told us that the tip was going to be added after we get our ticket! What? I would have given them 5 bucks for the terrible service. This way, they get 20% whether you like it or not. What a scam. Too many places like this around Dallas area.
Don’t choose this one.

I went for my birthday with a 7:00 reservation and got sat at 7:30 and we did not eat anything until 8:00. The wait was very disappointing, but our chef, Mack, was absolutely amazing!!! We loved the ribeye, scallops, chicken, and all of my fried rice! The drinks were good and my birthday sake surprise was so fun! I do wish we were sitting with other people instead of at a hibachi table by ourselves but it was not the worst.

This is the friendliest most personal staff as a whole I have ever encountered. Every single employee contributed to an amazing atmosphere that you just don’t typically get anymore. I’m an honestly so delighted. I never write reviews. Excellent place. Amazing food.

We went for hibachi dinner on Saturday. The chef was wonderful and the food tasted amazing. Unfortunately the waiting time was very disappointing. We arrived at 5:40 PM and the cooking did not begin until around 7:00 PM. We spent about twenty minutes waiting to be seated, then nearly one more hour before the chef started preparing the meal, and by the time we finished it had been more than two hours inside the restaurant. It felt exhausting to wait that long for dinner. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, however the management truly needs to improve the timing of the service as soon as possible. Their tip calculator also applies the percentage over the total with taxes included, which feels unusual and a bit off. Price is high.

We waited 35min for a table. Then we waited again for almost an hour for the chef just to find out that our hot plate is not working and there was a fight between the manager and the chef to inform us that the hot plate is not working and that we need to move to another table. We moved and Tony the chef was the best had a great time. You could see that Tony was mad and afraid of losing his job. And when he was done serving us the manager fired him on the spot. That is so unprofessional from management to fire a employee that just did the right thing while management could not to his job correctly. They will never see me again.
