Chill, popular spot offering wood-fired Neapolitan pies with elevated toppings, plus various wines.

I ordered the Margherita pizza and it was a letdown from start to finish. The pizza was barely cooked, served lukewarm, and completely lacked depth of flavor. The crust and cheese looked pale, almost unfinished, and the overall bite was bland and forgettable. As someone who genuinely loves pizza, this felt like a missed opportunity. For a restaurant that promotes itself on using high-quality, fresh ingredients, the execution did not match the claim. With proper cooking and better seasoning, this pizza could improve, but as served, it seriously underperformed. 5/10.

Pizza Antica is hands down our favorite Italian restaurant in Champaign. The pizza is truly authentic stone-oven pizza—exceptional in quality and flavor. As Europeans who have eaten great pizza in Italy, we can honestly say this is the real deal.
The service is wonderful, the wine selection is excellent, and the location has a very special atmosphere. We absolutely love coming here, and many of our most beautiful date nights have been spent at Pizza Antica.
Authentic, cozy, high quality, and consistently outstanding—five stars without hesitation.

Been a few times and tbh e food is always worth the return, tonight was a different story….
The host/togo was not busy when arriving to get our food. Within the time of him checking on our order, 20 people of different parties walked in and to this one worker with no help. Recipe for disaster…
Luckily our food was ready and out the door and heading home to enjoy what we thought would be one of our favorites…
So first off, no sweet drop peppers on the Italian salad, don’t advertise it if you don’t have it. The dressing f also wasn’t the same as I loved previously.
Pizza had very little meat like less than an 1.5oz. Wasn’t pretty looking either.
All and all, needs some serious attention to the details or it will be more noticed.

A huge thank you to Antica as a staff member stayed late on the day before Thanksgiving to ensure that I could pick up my online order. This was a huge deal for my family as our newborn had just been discharged from the hospital earlier that day and I was unaware that the restaurant was actually supposed to close an hour early due to the holiday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This act of kindness really made our day and the pizza was amazing as always too!

During a very busy Mom’s Weekend, the hospitality at Pizzeria Antica was impressive. My son and I were seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen and pizza oven, and watching everyone busy at their stations was entertaining. Service was prompt. I had the salad with artichokes, olives and the little peppers. The house-made balsamic vinaigrette was very good. My son got the pizza with prosciutto and arugula, along with some other things that escape my memory. The crust had a lovely chewy texture and the prosciutto was exceptionally good. On a hectic night, Pizzeria Antica impressed.

We met up with friends for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was full of people, and they were able to clear a table for the 4 of us. We ordered 4 personal pizzas and they came out hot and fresh within 15 minutes. We also ordered a bottle of wine to celebrate our friends. It was lovely! After dinner we got the espresso and gelato. It was SO good! Highly recommend this place, great pizza, great service!

Stumbled across this restaurant on our first evening of a visit to Champaign. We passed lots of restaurants along the way and decided to give this one a try. We’re glad we did. The pizza is amazing! We were attended by a very friendly server who offered great suggestions about the menu and gave us a quick history of the building when one of my colleagues asked about the brick interior. We were disappointed that we weren’t able to try the gelato because we were all so stuffed after our pizza:-)

Fantastic pizza/pasta/salad place for a great dine in experience! Service was swift and staffs were super nice. The lamb chimichuri pizza is a must try (one of the attached pics). Reasonable (~$18 for a speciality pizza) pricing. ‘Will visit again!

This place may offer the most authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas in the central Illinois area. We ordered seven different pizzas to share. They all came out hot and fresh at the same time, with a generous amount of toppings, and we enjoyed all of them. The service could use some improvement, as we waited a long time before we could place an order or get our bill.

Look no further for the ultimate gelato and authentic Italian pizza experience, as this place takes the cake! It’s a true gem that not only caters to pizza enthusiasts but also offers a rare find: vegan pizza! As a vegan myself, I’m thrilled to discover a spot that goes the extra mile to provide plant-based options. The sauce and pizza crust are absolute winners, showcasing the skill and attention to detail that goes into their culinary creations. While I would personally love to see an expanded selection of vegan pizza choices, I’m genuinely grateful for the presence of at least one delicious option. In summary, this restaurant truly excels in delivering a top-notch dining experience with its delectable pizza, delightful gelato, and commendable commitment to accommodating different dietary preferences.
