We stopped here on a day trip after a local recommended it. The food is all vegetarian and range from $10.50 to 12 or 13. I guess it depends on how much you want to add. They have veggie bowls and drinks. There might be sandwiches/wraps but it wasn’t on the menu that day. I got a bean and brown rice bowl and chose my dressing. It definitely filled me up for the rest of the day. Didn’t even need dinner and had enough energy to get back to the mainland.

I thought heck, I’ll give it a try. Always happy to support a healthy local establishment. What came out wasn’t even in a bowl but a rectangular box half way filled with very little kale and spinach. Also had very small portions of both beans and quinoa. All for a whopping 17$. I don’t even mind paying that much but damn, at least put some love into it. I just wish I had taken a picture to post as well.

We moved off the island to the east coast almost 12 years ago and Pure was one of my favorite places to get clean, healthy delicious food. Used to walk miles with a toddler on my back. We sold our home to RV full time and one thing I was most excited about was eating here again.

I was so bummed to see it was a new restaurant until I checked the menu and saw the same Buddha bowls on the menu. I was even more overjoyed to see it’s still owned by Stephanie!

Everything was just as I remembered-absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend trying the sorghum! Please support this local business.

One of the hardest parts about the food service industry is consistency in what is served. I wish I had looked at my order today before walking away, but you forgot to add three key ingredients to the Nature bowl I ordered. No seasonal veggies and the sunflower or sesame seeds were missing. Pretty disappointing. I’ll be sure to check thoroughly next time. Also, I was expecting the kale to be lemon marinated, but all of my greens were dry. Maybe the kale was left off, too? The pieces of my meal that I did receive we’re delicious, but man, I wish it had everything promised/paid for.

Over a few visits to the island the past few years, I was always intrigued by this place having been told to visit; but I never managed to pass by while they were open.

Now local (NFI), I’ve had the pleasure of their conversation all to myself on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and their last cup of Cassoulet with a fresh juice back. It’s refreshing to have such a small dose of hearty stew be so energizing and satisfying. I wasn’t compelled to have my lemon tart dessert before leaving, but to be honest it didn’t last an hour in my icebox after the first taste got my attention 🙂

These folks clearly work hard to be open every hour that they can; the prices are great — local/raw/organic eVeRYTHiNG as possible, and a variety of options.. menu standards and a daily special.

It is PaTRoNaGe which will allow them to be open longer, more days, and over time change the menu and see enough economies such that it can affect their operating costs. It takes multiple islanders juggling the keys to the kitchen.. and while waiting for killer clean food isn’t something anyone necessarily wants to do, I’d have stood in a line for 20 minutes in the rain to get in the door if it meant Pure was getting that kind of business on a weekend in December. As it was, I still got their last cup of Cassoulet — what does that tell you?!?

Come to this kitchen; they’ll treat you right.. inside and out!

This place is OVERPRICED. I got a Buddha Bowl. Yes, everything is fresh and healthy. Yes, the sesame ginger dressing is good. But for $15, you’d think there would be some seasoning in the grains or the beans. They are so plain and flavorless. Each element in a Buddha Bowl should have some flavor. Also, the salad is not chopped or cut so it makes it difficult to eat. The beet ribbons are a tiny portion and also difficult to eat because they leave them so long. The avocado portion is tiny. I also got a smoothie and it was frozen. For $10, it would’ve been nice to get a freshly prepared product. I really wanted this place to become a regular spot for me but unfortunately it won’t be.

I’ve gone here often, it was at its prime a few years ago. Now, it is not worth it. About $20 for the smallest portion of rice and greens than it used to be. They also seemed to ha have changed their tahini, which used to be their best thing. Now it tastes like an icky tofu candle. One of my tahinis was icky thick, the other was insanely watery. Super unimpressed with their consistency and taste now.

Incredible customer service!!! The quinoa bowl was delicious, LOVE the little container of spicy sauce that came with it (quite spicy, FYI). 3 year old loved the carrot/apple juice, and the cacao smoothie was not too sweet but amazing too! Highly recommend the cookie as well.

This little spot has super fresh veggies and extremely healthy food. Do not come here looking for something other than thoughtfully prepared bowls and salads and simple flavors; it’s a small kitchen but I love the simplicity and the dessert cookie made with dates is my favorite!!! If you know what real food is (in it’s true form), you will appreciate this spot.

Been visiting Vashon island and coming over to this quaint vegan eatery for some years now. Food here has always been a healthy satisfying experience, from their quinoa Buddha Bowls, to their refreshing smoothies and delicious vegan cookies pastries! A quick order from their kiosks, and with a outdoors eating area, the meal was refreshing and healthy as can be. Such a special spot on Vashon island!
