The BEST sushi in Ottawa. You can taste the quality. The sushi is fresh, lots of flavour, large tempura bites, big pieces of fish and decent prices. This has become a weekly spot that never disappoints. TIP: Always call when they first open and state when you’d like to pick up. This avoids any waiting as they are always SUPER busy.

Best sushi in town!

I just need to edit this review for one reason. I see some who have given this place 1 star and that’s only because they expect it to be as fast and as cheap as all you can eat sushi. If you want authentic JAPANESE sushi, you must be willing to pay for it!! The fish is always fresh, and you can tell how great the place is because they are always sold out!!! If you want real sushi, then you want to go to hello sushiman. I have order both small and large orders and they were always excellent.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Also they always recognize me over the phone! Haha.

Here are some of the orders I got from there.

I was really excited to try this place after hearing great reviews, but honestly, it underwhelmed completely. I tried the spicy salmon, diablo and crunch roll. Spicy salmon roll was good and tasted fresh. The diablo and crunch roll were really bad; the shrimp was chewy and the tempura was not crunchy or crispy at all. Disappointed but I guess the prices are fair atleast.

Fresh and tasty sushi. I ordered the Sushi Lunch A for takeout and it was ready on time and the sushi was super fresh, filling, varied, and tasty. You can tell there’s a lot of care put into their craft.Their sushi is a huge step up and above from what you can get from your generic Ottawa AYCE sushi restaurants (even the higher end ones) and grocery store sushi.

I’ve had their large sushi platters in the past, and those too are excellent.

Best sushi in Ottawa hands down. Their rolls have tons of sesame crunch and they are massive. 16 pcs filled me when normally I crush at least 20

Recently moved to Ottawa from Vancouver and I’m so glad to have found this joint. This place satisfies my sushi needs and dare I say that the quality of their ingredients were better than your average joint in Vancouver. I was really impressed with how flavorful the Ebi sushi was as it’s usually the one I’m least excited to eat. The quality of fish was fresh and the taste and consistency was good. The wasabi actually stung without needing to put much. This place gets busy with good reason. Take out only, better to call hours if not days in advance to secure your order. Now I wish they would open a similar joint in Gloucester or Findlay Creek!

It’s the best sushi in ottawa. Hands down. The level of freshness and quality is unmatched.Pro tip is call in the morning to place an order for the afternoon because it’s hard to get through when you call after 4pm. Must try.

Awesome Sushi. Nearly impossible to order. 5 star food based on price (not the best sushi in Ottawa but the best value far and away). 2 star service because you can’t order online or via email or other electronic means and near impossible to get them to answer the phone.

My last order I called at lunch opening. Took literally 25 mins to get through. Order was for same day but dinner and the first available spot was 8pm! How the (insert bad word) is that even possible?

I think people put an advanced order in at least 7 days away. I don’t understand it.

If they get better at taking orders and answering the phone my rating will go higher.
