I ordered jerk chicken and ribs with rice and peas and cabbage! Food was fresh and had just the right amount of spice. I always get my jerk and BBQ sauce mixed together on the side Definitely check them out if you want a taste of Jamaica! They even offer a Specials Menu for the Homeless!!! Talk about giving back to the community!

Came from Columbus Ga. Visiting this some of the BEST AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN food I’ve ate in a long time. It’s most definitely worth a 3 hour drive. Coming back tomorrow before heading back.

Spicy to those whose pallet is weak. Great choices, fresh food when you see smoke. Close at 11pm Wednesday-Sunday!! They do have another one on Tharpe but Pensacola with her collard greens, mmmmmmmm be so Good!!!!!! Pssssttt….. It’s worth it

Based on other reviews, I wanted to give myself some time to make a fair assessment considering that it is a food truck. Keep in mind that I love food trucks, and have a friend who owns one.

Parking: Parking was terrible. I was boxed in without much room to get in or out. I was the only customer so I presume it belonged to the owners if the food truck, or the business next door. What little parking you have should be for your customers.

Cleanliness: I noticed that the last inspection sticker on the truck expired 06/2021 (or maybe 07/2021). The lady who was preparing the food and serving as the cashier had beyond filthy hands, especially her nails. To her slight defense, she was handling and cutting the chicken however, she should invest in gloves or wash her hands more frequently. Perhaps having someone help her at the window to reduce cross contamination when she has to then touch her phone for you to pay.

The food: The chicken had good flavor and heat, but not the best Jamaican food that I have ever had. The chicken did not seem fresh, as some parts had that dry overcooked look. It was heavily chopped up, unlike some of the other reviewers pics. This did not disguise the fact that the meat seemed old. I too found lots of tiny bones throughout, which was a concern since my young son was sharing my food with me. I had to filter thorough each bite. The chicken juice also tasted heavily of Worcestershire sauce. I did not like it at all. The macaroni did taste like boxed macaroni with some spices added. The cabbage was very good.

The overall experience would never send me back.

The Browns stew chicken tasted like it had soy sauce inside of it. The cabbage was tasteless and the rice and peas was basically white rice with peas and soy sauce. As a fellow Jamaican this is not Jamaican food. It would’ve been better off if you called it hibachi spin off

It’s been a long time since I found a spot that gives you your money’s worth of food. The lady working gave me enough portion for two meals lol. And most importantly the food was immaculate! I ordered the jerk chicken with rice & peas and Mac&cheese.

The seasoning for the chicken was top tier! Spicy and flavorful, the gravy for the rice was surprisingly good too because I’m not a big fan of gravy on certain things.

This is a must go to spot, I was shocked with how much I got and how much I paid, I will be back!! The only thing I say is to be careful not to just dive in the food because I found small bone fragments from the chicken that was broken up. Other than that this place SLAPS.

I went here for the first time today, and the lady I spoke with was the sweetest, friendliest person you’ll ever meet. I wanted something with chicken, and she suggested the jerk chicken and in her words “it’s spicy, but it’s good”. While I was waiting for my food she even gave me a jerk chicken wing as a sample cause I never tried Jamaican food. It lived up to its name, and when I came home to open the hefty packed container, she gave me enough food to eat for 2-3 meals. I am telling my friends to come- letting them try this meal cause I can’t finish it all myself. Definitely worth checking out and worth every penny!

Food was horrible!!!…Cabbage was under cooked, beans taste like ketchup, mac & cheese taste like it was straight out the box , meat taste like lighter fluid…Only positive
is she gives you a good portion of food…but whats the point when the food nasty & gonna end up in the trash… It’s a NO for me..My husband was so pissed…We had to spend more money eating elsewhere…This is why I don’t like trying food trucks…I’ve had bad food before …but usually something on the plate is good…NOT with this place..EVERYTHING on both our plates was NASTY!!!!…I question these 5 stars too…unless it was a different person that prepared the food when they ate here.

Parked on the property of a bondsman, which has four or five different things going on all packed onto one small property. The lady that runs the Jamaican Paradise Grill has a really bad attitude and is rude as can possibly be. She had one person in front of me with no one behind me. I stood there for almost 22 minutes without even being acknowledged or greeted in ANY way. Even after making eye contact with her on several different occasions, she still did not acknowledge my presence or tell me that she would be with me in a few minutes or anything like that. I just stood there, ignored for almost 30 minutes total. When I came up to order my food, she wasn’t willing to answer any questions. She just kept pointing to the menu and saying,’It’s all listed right there’, like I was annoying her by asking about the different menu items. I feel that you need to have much better customer service skills in order to have a successful business. Maybe I couldn’t read and if that would have been the case, which it is not, then it would have been big trouble for her, because she would be calling me out in public about not being able to read the menu. She treated me like I was invisible, and she could care less about my business and my money that I had planned to spend on her Jamaican Paradise food. I had heard through Word of Mouth that it was a decent place to get some island food. The lack of customer service made it to where I would not spend a penny there, under any circumstances. I attempted to eat there, but I refused to eat somewhere I am repeatedly and blatantly ignored. People should be treated as though they are welcome and greeted and treated in a friendly manner. It’s like I was an invisible force that was overlooked for over 20 minutes. Yet each and every other person getting in line or passing by was greeted with a smile and spoken to with welcome words. Enough to make me never want to go back or to ever try the food in the first place because clearly I was not a wanted customer and my money was no good there, neither was my presence. So I got back in my car and left, and I do not recommend this place unless you want to be treated rudely and invisible.
