Local bar and grill specializing in comfort food. They advertise good food and lousy service – not true. We had Candice as a server – friendly, knew her menu and provided great recommendations, and even provided some local lore.
I went with the Eruption – a chicken fried steaktopped withash potatoes, topped with sausage country gravy. You feel it killing you but are satisfied that at least you will die happy. It was so good – alot of food, it’s a hungry persons dish to be sure. The wife went with a burger – rural grills do an amazing job on their meats – it’s clearly a point of pride. The onion rings were also
worth mentioning – they used a beer batter that was wonderful.
The atmosphere is decidedly local – I pointed out the cougar skin, the head of which was inches from my wife’s face, and asked if she thought it was soft. She hadn’t quite seen it so jumped a bit, making me VERY happy, much to her annoyance. The walls are covered with like things, from the stories of the heroes of the eruption to farm implements – pretty cool spot with good food and great service. Highly recommend.

Offers liquor and canned beers. $9 space dust pint. Standard bar pizza, heavy on the cheese. Volcano burger was an excellent greasy burger with tons of jalapenos!

Really cool rustic bar. Service was fast and friendly even with a lean staff. We enjoyed everything on the app sampler and the wedge salad was surprisingly good. It’s a little pricey but understandable given the remote location. Definitely worth a visit.

Came on a Saturday evening after the st Helens summit. This is one of the nearest places to the trail head so we stopped for dinner and was very happy by the choice.l. We tried the grilled chicken burger, bacon cheese burger and volcano burger. The volcano burger was the best among them, with double patty this was what we needed . We also got some jalapeno poppers which were okay. We wanted to try the eruption but they were sold out. Now all the burgers were really good, tasty and the side of clam chowder was also pretty decent.

It’s a little place with warm service and excellent burgers. It was a pleasant discovery for all four of us and, keeping in mind the price value ratio, we’d go there again for sure, either for couple beers or for the burgers 🙂

Do not stop here. Total waste of time and money. Took nearly an hour for the most mid cheeseburger of my life to come out. And it was $17!! All the food is clearly cooked from frozen. French fries were the best thing, props to whoever the frozen french fry vendor is. Vibes inside are also not great. We will never come back here. The staff was kind though!

Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in southwest Washington. Definitely in my top three. They have the best fish and chips I have ever had. Their burgers are very good and their fries are more like a mix of jo-jo’s and fries and they’re delicious. Every time I’ve come here it’s been an incredible experience. The food is so good, Service is awesome, the owner is super cool, and the prices are fair for an out of town restaurant. I will continue to frequent this place when I’m in the area.
