The Crawdad Hole is Jackson, MS’s original crawfish boil and Cajun seafood spot, boiling crawdads since 1995 on Lakeland Drive. We serve hot, seasoned seafood boils with crawfish (in season), plus boiled shrimp, crab legs, gumbo, tamales, and turkey necks year-round, tossed with corn and taters. Choose mild, medium, or hot. Relaxed, no-frills, family-friendly picnic-table dining with easy takeout and on-site group get-togethers. BYOB and coolers welcome. Market prices vary with the season.
Cajun & Creole fare including crawfish in season served up at a shack with lots of outdoor seating.

It’s window service. No beer but it’s BYOB.
Excellent crawfish, shrimp and all the usual suspect sides.
Crawfish are clean, hot, easy to peel and seasoned just right. Shrimp are easy-to-peel as well. Served with a side of cocktail and a butter-like mixture.
Corn is good, sausage is good.
They have all of the soft drinks.
Seating is first come first serve at picnic tables. Small “inside” eating area.
Plenty of parking in the Smith Wills lot.

For an out-of-towner, it was cool spot to grab a bit after visiting the museum next door. Every thing had good spice and flavor. I thought the prices were reasonable but again, I’m not a local.
Plenty of parking and plenty of picnic style sitting both indoor and outdoors. Restrooms are small one at a time use but works. As bar options but also has BYOB for $3.

This is not the place to eat and be CUTE. Probably shouldn’t wear your “Sunday- go-to-meeting clothes” to the Crawdad Hole….. cause you cant eat a boiled crawfish with a fork..

NICE PLACE TO SIT, TALK AND EAT WITH FRIENDS. REMINDS OF A BIG GAZEBO. ITS A BIT OUTDATED BUT MOST PLACES LIKE THAT THE BEST PLACES TO EAT. I HAD 2LBS OF CRAWFISH, 3 OR 4 SAUSAGES, 4 POTATOES AND A PLATE OF TAMALES.
