In the bestest way, this is great suburban American Chinese food. The general had really good texture and flavor (not soggy at all), hot and sour soup was great. Didn’t get to try a lot of the food, but would be stopping by again. They were also super kind to our young kids and came by frequently (= frequent water refills!) Highly recommend!

China City Restaurant in Cameron Park pleasantly surprised us during our recent visit. The standout dish was undoubtedly the spicy chicken, which left our taste buds tingling with its flavorful kick. Additionally, we had the prawns in lobster sauce and chicken fried rice. I personally didn’t enjoy the prawns much, felt it lacked grounded meat for that extra taste. The portions were decently sized, ensuring we left satisfied. What truly elevated our experience was the friendly staff, who provided attentive service throughout our visit.

Grew up on this place. No one does it better! Family owned and great people as well. Lemon chicken, chicken with hot garlic sauce, pork chow mein, foil wrap chicken are all faves. The hot and sour soup cannot be beat – I can’t even have it at other places.

I have been coming here since a kid although my low score it is only because I am upset. I use to be able to order one dish for me an my wife when poor an they would always give you a big plate of your entree an a plate of rice . Now they give you a half ass plate with the rice piled on . So it’s hard to share. Otherwise I would have just got everyone the same plate . Instead of ordering 3 different entrees that we couldn’t share. I know this sounds like I’m the ass . But I been coming here 14 years but moved so everything changed this last year an for the worst .

Best Chinese food anywhere. I can’t seem to come here enough.It’s so enjoyable and they’re friendly and they have good service and the food is to die for literally.But you don’t want to do that. I personally have been coming here for over twenty years.Have great memories with family and friends, here also. I recommend it to anybody and everybody.And I have tried out many chinese restaurants in elroda county in placerville and south lake tahoe in thulsome and eldorado.Hills, you name it, i’ve tried it.There’s only one place that is identical to the same quality food and service and it’s not located in our town.It’s located in santa cruz sad to say that chinese restaurant closed down.So this is now number one in our hearts and minds.

I was working in the area and stopped in here for lunch on a Friday at noon. The place was pretty busy however it did not hinder the quality or speed of getting my food. I got the lunch special broccoli beef with steamed rice and add chicken chow mein. Omg it hit the spot! Perfectly cooked veggies and silky tender beef. The sauce was perfect not too salty. Even the egg roll was delicious! Skip past Panda Express and support local small businesses! This is the one!

I’m so disappointed. Absolutely no flavor. $92, huge portions but everything tasted the same. Maybe they were just busy but for the price we paid, I really wouldn’t recommend them. So bummed.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Really nice staff and delicious food. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes asian and Chinese food and would come again 🙂
