I’ve been coming to Chilango’s Burrito Bar for years, but this experience was honestly ridiculous.
I ordered a veggie burrito with no meat and fully expected the veggie price ($10.95). When it was finished, I was told the total was $14.95. When I questioned it, the employee said potatoes count as a protein, so I was charged the same as a meat burrito.
I understand potatoes technically contain protein, but charging meat prices for a vegetarian burrito because of potatoes makes no sense and was never communicated while ordering. If I had known it would be $15, I would have ordered differently or gone elsewhere.
This felt misleading, and for longtime customers, pretty disappointing. Transparency matters.

The salad bar was closed a few years ago they reopened. Then closed. Then reopened. Then they had weird hours! worked when they wanted! to now they are closed again till April. I don’t believe that they will be open in April. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I’m done playing their games. I won’t go back ever again. We need a New Mexican salad bar in Jackson ran by different owners who are loyal to their customers. Shut this down permanently just forget it.

Great spot recommended by mijo. Got the birria grilled cheese burrito, which came with a nice caldo to dip it in. Order at the back counter-the front of the place seems to be under renovation. Service was awesome. The guy that took and made our order was super friendly and chill. We will definitely stop back in next time we are in town. There are two picnic tables outdoors as well.

They used awesome and now they’re horrible. Food is made wrong and their phones are off so you can’t call and get it figured out. Using the app is pointless because they don’t read anything on it and for high price, I’m mad that it is wrong. Done giving them chances, go elsewhere.

I’ve always had a great experience at Chilangos. Clean environment, very friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered for chicken tinga street tacos. They were $4 each and with every penny. I will definitely be back in the future when I’m in the area.
