Family owned since 1974 serving fine quality mexican food, fajitas and steaks as well as beer and wine and housemade margaritas.

This wasn’t terrible, but being a Texan, this wasn’t exactly the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. The service was great. Our waiter was on top of it. The chips and salsa… definitely out of a bag and a jar of salsa. Too tomatoey and chunky. I got chicken fajitas. There was zero seasoning on the chicken. It actually tasted sweet because of the bell peppers sauted with it. It was edible, but not the best.

Being from south texas, this was not the best Mexican food I have had but I would not go in with high expectations on food quality if you have had Tex-Mex or authentic Mexican from south texas. Service was amazing though and our waitress did an amazing job.

Beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere, staff are taking covid seriously. That was very comforting to us. As for the food it seemed bland but I am someone that likes spicy. I ordered the number three medium combination and my wife ordered the salmon. She really enjoyed her plate. Very nice that they offer sopapillas at the end of your meal. Very yummy! Our waiter, Ricky, was really on his game tonight, took great care of us.

Seemed to be a popular place with a packed waiting room before they opened. We got the $13 taco salad which was pretty good and massive. $5 for a local IPA was also tasty. The chips and salsa were so so (salsa watery) but they were free. Nice atmosphere and staff and were able to be in and out within 45 minutes. Glad we stopped in.

On vacation for the 4th of July, 10 of our family members ate here. We started off with chips and warm chunky hot sauce. We enjoyed the flavors of the sauce. Then ordered mixed drinks and beer. We ordered various different types of entrees from stuffed Soapapplias, quesadillas, enchiladas, stuffed burritos and then ended the dinner with huge Soapaplias. It was a great experience. Our server Janie was awesome, she took care all of our needs. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Steak was delicious and cooked great. However the New Mexican choices and food is not good. Rice is plain white rice with cheese on top. Beams are canned. Guacamole salad was great.

The food was horrible. The plates were so hot that my husbands food burned to it (not photographed). My son ordered the stuffed sopapilla and the red chille was burned to his plate. Mine was tacos. I ordered a guacamole taco and they mixed the avocado with sour cream. I do not like the taste of sour cream. They made us pay for half of our meal even though we only took 2 bites each. We will never go back. We drove 2 hours for Mother’s Day for this. Our waitress was really sweet!

Superb experience! We got in and out within an hour. The enchiladas were yummy. The wine-arita was delightful. The sopapilla was the fluffier and best we have ever had. This place is one of our new favs that we will visit every time we make the trek to NM.

Best Mexican food in Red River New Mexico. I had a chalupa with beans, meat, avocados, lettuce and cheese. Margaritas are great and in varieties to pick from. The dessert of soappillas with butter and honey are unbeatable served warm. Thres Leeches cake is also very favorable. Do not miss this location for dinner. The art is also for sale on the walls.
