This place was VERY dirty! Food EVERYWHERE, ice cream overfilling the tray to catch it, sink faucet was on and running and about to overfill the sink entirely, ice cream mixer filled with food, also a pitcher of old ice cream on the ice cream machine.. DISGUSTING !!, Waited 8 minutes for 3 small cones. And the employee here didn’t even know what a mini cup was and had to tell him plain ice cream 5 times and still didn’t understand and multiple employees on their phone. Terrible slow service and only 1-2 cars in the parking lot and 1 person infront of me (dine-In). Food might taste good but imagine eating something with gross food cooking it.

everyone has to love dq. icecream is always a treat butt alot of people forget about how good their food is tonight i got their chicken strip basket it comes with 4 or 6 chicken strips ,fries and texas toast. its always great. I got a chocolate brownie and oreo cookie blizzard, my buddy got a choclate icecream come.

We live on the north side of Des Moines & this is the ONLY Dairy Queen we go too. Altoona & Ankeny both don’t come close to comparing to this one. We went again today & everything was perfect. Hot food and friendly employees, don’t get any better then that. Thanks to everyone who works here & the Owner. GOOD JOB

They did an amazing job on the ice cream cake. Staff were all super nice and the atmosphere was amazing while I was in store. They have a dq closer to me but I’m glad I decided to go out of my way to this store instead. Really appreciate everything and maybe ill get another cake for my family Xmas. I honestly would have ate the food there, but I needed to concentrate on getting the cake back to a freezer.

I wanted to pass along just how great the crew was tonight. I am a regular and upon my arrival i could see the store was busier than usual from what appeared to be from a local school event. I was bracing for a longer turn time to get my order taken and made but the crew was amazing getting peoples orders taken and served quickly and perfectly. I should not be surprised because i always have a good experience there. Just wanted to pass along my experience from tonight

Went through drive through and ordered meals and drinks for 3 people. Drive through employee acted as if I was wasting his time. At the window the only words he said was the total and took my card. He then would hand me one item at a time and close the window, never saying a word. Knowing that I had a food order he handed me all the ice cream first …which was melting all over me and the car by the time I got my food. Once he handed the bag of food out , I nicely said thank you and smiled, thinking maybe he was having a bad day, to which I got an fake smile, nod, and window slam. Not asking the world, but just even a bit of kindness and consideration. If you don’t like people, don’t work in the drive through and remember that ice cream melts while people are waiting for food orders.

Not the workers fault they’re under staffed I’ve heard from a exworker that management was not great here but… I waited in the drive through line for 20 minutes just to get to the order speaker (wasn’t even last in line when I arrived, I was 3 cars away from the speaker). Proceeded to wait 15 minutes to pay and to receive my one blizzard and side salad I ordered. Who knew a trip to DQ took over 40 minutes?
Plan accordingly!
Also attached is a picture of my $3 “side salad” with SOGGY OLD LETTUCE and the portion of a CHILD. I didn’t even bother eating it. Right in the trash like my $3
