Savannnah was very friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in. She took my order carefully and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. Savannah worked quickly but still stayed positive and kind to everyone in line. You can tell she cares about her job and about giving customers good service. Employees like Savannah make the restaurant a better place, and she definitely deserves recognition for her hard work.

I picked up 3 tacos, chips and salsa, and a lemonade. We unwrapped the tacos and there were literally five tiny pieces of steak on the taco. We tried to call the restaurant to see if we could get a replacement or refund but Chipotle does not allow you to talk to a crew member. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Step it up, Chipotle… you’re better than this! San Marcos, Texas, Chipotle off LBJ Drive, Thursday, Dec 18th, 5:02 PM.
First off, the place looked like it was closed from the outside. When we walked in, the staff was friendly enough, but they took their time getting to me. It seemed like they were all tired or burnt out—possibly due to poor [management/staffing]?
The vegetables on the line looked pretty beaten up, though the guy serving me was nice and grabbed some fresh veggies from the back. Overall, it just felt like they weren’t on their game, almost sad. The outside tables clearly hadn’t been washed for a while. I’m not usually a clean freak—I was just taking my 8 year old grandson out for a nice meal—but this is probably the last time he and I will visit. The photo shows how much dirt came off the table after I cleaned it myself. The place needs good energy and help. As a side note, I tried to make a review on Chipotle’s website by using their AI engine—that thing couldn’t help me! Take a look at the screengrab; this is a corporate problem.
UPDATE: Chipotle Corp responded FAST. This is what I got:

But unfortunately, it’s puff—the contact link goes nowhere. It’s not a complete link! So, corporate messed this up, and the shit rolls downhill to the employees!
Is Chipotle’s model cracking? Is corporate pushing customer promos and perks to employees while the employees are stuck with immediate, day-to-day frustrations they can’t fix?
Was my experience isolated, or is it really just a wider disconnect between corporate’s future-facing incentives and the day-to-day pain employees feel? Why was my local store experience so broken?
These are my opinions!
My hope—Chipotle, we need you. Your food was great, and your employees were superstars! Please come back!
I can only speak for that one store in San Marcos on LBJ Drive. I have not been to other stores so I don’t know.

I did a pickup order with my phone. I ordered a STEAK bowl with light rice including SOUR CREAM . I also ordered a chicken bowl . First off when I received the bag the lid to the chicken bowl was not fully on, causing me to spill some of the bowl into the bag. Second off I open the steak bowl and there is NO STEAK and NO sour cream. So , I walk back and try and get some steak and sour cream. I tell the employee . He looked Hispanic and had a goatee but was otherwise clean shaven. He was less-than understanding and gave me the impression like he thought I was lying about it or something . After going back and forth for a few minutes he gave me a side of steak and did not offer to replace my other spilled bowl . I’ve never written a review before but I thought this experience was worth the review .

I had forgotten my card when I got there and the two people behind the counter were very sweet and held my food for me so I could run home and get it. The guy (I forgot to get his name I’m so sorry!) was helpful at suggesting items on the menu because I don’t eat here often. I would take one star off because of the price tho I knew that coming in. Overall very nice experience!

I don’t write many reviews but I would not doing my part if I did not fill in people who frequent Chipotle. I am a routine customer of Chipotle in the central Texas area. I walked into this Chipotle in San Marcos on LBJ and first noticed how dirty the restaurant was. I went to the line to order my bowl and the first words out of some young worker was we are out of steak. I normally order steak then I decided to go with chicken which looked disgusting. I asked if they had steak on the to go line in which she retrieved some. I finished ordering my bowl and asked for chips which they stated we are out. I asked when they would have some ready and they stated not this evening. I was there at 4 pm. After I paid for my meal which was a mistake I went to retrieve my drink and utensils. I noticed this area was disgusting as well and they had no forks. I asked the cashier for a fork and she rolled her eyes at me and gave me a fork. I told her the restaurant was in need of cleaning and she replied I can not leave my position. A few minutes later a young lady started refilling the utensils and I asked if she was the manager which she replied, “yes.” I told her the restaurant was disgusting and she asked me what did I mean. I pointed out a few things in which she stated thanks! I then threw my food in the trash and left. I can only imagine how much they don’t clean the cooking and prep area. Pretty sad. This place is disgusting! I recommend not even letting your dog eat here. Look at photos and make your own mind up! Get it together!

I am allergic to cilantro, but I understand that sometimes the plain white rice isn’t always available since it gets mixed.
I always ask “is there any plain white rice available?” of course, there’s not problem if there isn’t, but the this one guy i’m not sure if his name is kayden or something, not too sure, always has an attitude when his coworkers ask. Twice has he given a stink face and said “uh no”. (he was on cook today). The girl helping was sweet but he needs to fix his attitude.

I have been a regular customer of theirs and always had a feeling that their food isn’t fresh but never complained but today after seeing a dead fly inside my food I can’t control myself from doing so. How do they even get the chance to operate with such an unhygienic environment? After today’s incident I will think twice before ordering any food from them.

The portions were laughable. I had to ask the girl making the order multiple times for another scoop and she gave me a death stare. The real issue was they overcharged us for guacamole and when we let them know the mistake they told us to prove it by showing them the order in the app because the app gave us a 3 dollar difference and when we showed it to them they replied “ok fine I will refund you.” Terrible customer service over 3 dollars.
