Here in the heart of the USA, we know how to craft a great time. Stop in for some hot food and cold drinks (don’t miss the prime rib when we have it)! Pool, darts, and jukebox available! Weather permitting, we have outdoor seating as well. We also have a great brunch buffet on Sundays! We have several large TVs to watch the game on, too. We also host live music for special events. We have a spacious party room available for booking for any of your special events. The local-centric vibe is awesome! A unique place where the servers were very kind and attentive. I had the chicken fried steak with salad bar and was satisfied. The pretzel bites were good. My friend had the Buffalo chicken wings. The rye beer is amazing! Thanks for a unique meal.

Ate here with my mom and nephews, we waited 20 minutes for a server to help us.Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries, the bun was soggy, sweet potato fries were overcooked. My sandwich came without BBQ sauce, which i had to ask for. Altogether my sandwich was very unappetizing. Mom ordered the popcorn shrimp and fries which weren’t bad, my nephews had corn dogs. They charge extra for mashed potatoes. Our server put our order in wrong. She refused to come back and check on us, her clothes were not appreciate for a restaurant setting, we could see her bra under her torn shirt. We won’t be returning as the service sucks and the food isn’t much better.

Gave two stars because the kids said the burgers were ok, but overall disappointing. I ordered mild wings and got chicken nuggets. The fries weren’t salted nor were they fully cooked. The Philly cheese steak was awful, I have never had a cheese steak with raw veggies, they couldn’t be bothered to saute them first. I will just go to Martha Jo’s from now on.

I called in a takeout order this evening and i decided to go with their special and I am glad I did! Nothing hits the spot better than a REAL hand pattied hamburger! Cooked perfectly too! And check out their brand on the bun! That’s just cool! Great experience from the moment they answered the phone. Quick and very friendly service. Will definitely go back!

Best food best Friendliest staff! And if you just need a beer or a cocktail, they have a wide variety of libations on hand even a few hard to find offerings. You will Also find 2 pool tables and electronic darts

I visited the Anvil on a Sunday along with a group of 12 people. After we were seated we found out that the fare for lunch was buffet with a salad bar. Salad bar was excellent with crisp mixed greens, huge array of dressings and toppings along with choice of a few garden veggies. The buffet had many choices including a breakfast offering of scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. Other entries were chicken, mashed potatoes, ham, warm vegetables and chicken strips. Had desserts as well. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Will visit again on my next trip.

Cheerful service. The food was good. Philly cheese steak was tender. Onion rings tasty. I am told the New York strip was good and tender. Rodeo Burger comes highly recommended. They have opinion poppers resembled miniature chili rellenos. Crab rangoons were decent.
Restuarant and bathrooms clean. I would patronize again.
A nice stop only 7 miles west of US 83.
If on I-80 eastbound, drop down south on US 83 and take a left at Maywood.
If on I-80 Westbound, exit at Cozad or Gothenburg south to catch Hwy 23 and head west. There is natural beauty along this route in the Platte River Valley.
