Great environment. Service was very good. They were friendly and engaging.

Food was very good. Ironically, the thing I liked the most was this wonderful shot of butternut squash soup that they just dropped off for us to try.

The drinks were expensive, but the old fashion was likely one of the best I have ever had.

The food is very good, but a lot of what you are paying for is the presentation.

If you are accustomed to this type of restaurant it may not live up to what you are used too.

If you have neve been to this type of restaurant, you will likely not like it.

Still, I would recommend.

Such an amazing experience, everything was perfect. Ibrahim was a great server, very attentive. Food and drinks came quick and the quality was 11/10. The first drink on the cocktail menu was a rum old fashion and I’d come back just for that. The carpaccio was the best I’ve had and the duck and short rib was amazing.

I celebrated my birthday at Bacán and had an amazing experience. We did the tasting with wine and cocktail pairings, and everything was delicious—every bite was thoughtful and beautifully prepared.

Clau was our server and she was excellent. She took great care of us, was very knowledgeable about the food and its sourcing, and you could tell she’s truly passionate about what she does. Every staff member we encountered took pride in their work.

The ambience was perfect for a celebration, the bathrooms were spotless, and the entire experience felt elevated and seamless. This is a perfect place for any special occasion. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!

I love eating at Michelin star restaurants- wanted to come here as they are mentioned and i was excited to taste. We opted for the 8 course meal- first dish was okay but underwhelming and the flavor was very different – 2nd dish the scallops -yum, beef carpaccio- we added guava paste to it to give it some flavor, then it was yum – snapper was crispy but overshadowed by too many extra sauces that didn’t need to be on the plate, the wild boar – not for me it was a very strong taste – the dessert- to die for. Ambience- amazing , except if I’m paying $150 for a meal maybe don’t sit someone with a barking dog next to us would’ve been great, servers – excellent – if i go again it’s due to the ambience and i will try something off the menu – but for $150 most of the food ended up in a doggy bag, but my dogs didn’t like it either.

Stepping into Bacan felt like finding a wonderful secret within the Wave Hotel. It’s more than just dinner; it’s a complete experience that makes you feel immediately special and relaxed.
The atmosphere is stunning—it manages to be both effortlessly elegant and warmly welcoming at the same time. You could easily lose track of time here, just soaking in the beautiful setting.
But the food is where they truly steal your heart. Everything we ordered tasted incredibly fresh and alive. You can tell the chefs pour passion into every plate. Each bite felt like a discovery—like they took familiar flavors and elevated them into something truly exciting.
What really set the evening apart, though, was the service. The team here isn’t just professional; they are genuinely kind. They were attentive in the perfect way, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask, and making us feel truly looked after. It was personalized and sincere.

Went out for my wife and I’s anniversary. This was our first time having a tasting menu like this. Ibraham was our server, and he could not have been more incredible. In the middle of our dinner, he got assigned a very large table outside, but that didn’t slow him down in the slightest. He was very knowledgeable and made fantastic recommendations for wine pairings with our meal. The food was absolutely amazing! I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of our final course before dessert, but it was just as great as everything else. And the dessert…..coming from a Latin American household, I can confidently say that was the best tres leches my wife and I have ever had. I truly have nothing negative to say about any bit of our experience tonight. I would absolutely love to come back!

We went here for our anniversary! I wanted to love it, but there were some key occurrences that caused our experience to be less than favorable. Overall the food was pretty good, but I don’t think it’s worth the price. There was no bite that I will be “day dreaming about”.

There was a lot, but here are a few key missed:
1) the service was slow. we waited over an hour for our main courses.

2) they messed up on my order and served me pork, which I do not eat. While ordering the server assured me that he was “take care of it” and ensure the replacement for the pork would be excellent, only to wait and have my dish come out wrong. This caused us to wait even longer.

3) the environment was loud as they sat us next to the bar. There was also a time when the fire alarms were going off and the staff looked confused as to what they should do. No one spoke to us about this.

The food was tasty overall, but too expensive for what it was. The team tried to do service recovery and gave us a free desert, but it didn’t make up for the overall experience.

Bacan has many good dishes with dynamic flavor palettes. The sauces which accompany the dishes dont just embellish, but they actually add flavor and improve the dish. Out of most of dishes I had (not all are pictured), there was little do dislike.

Price point is a little high at $225pp ( this is roughly what was spend after tip etc).

Decour and layout really needs help. It has the feel of a glorified hotel cafeteria thus ruining the price point even further.

Server was very kind and knowledgeable. If it wasnt for our server making suggestions this couldve easily fallen to a 3 star establishment.

Most of the food itself does deserve the michelin recomendation. While its a little bit aways from a star, i believe offering a prix fixe chefs table dining experience, and improving the decour (make it feel more saturated and less cafeteria/open) could earn this place a star down the road. If they keep doing what they’re doing my prediction is they will maintain or lose their recommendation at best.

Would I come back? No. Unless they earn a star there would be no reason to come back – the food is good but you can get similar for half the price.

For the time being its “BYEcan”

Full of flavors! Staff is friendly and informative. I was waited on by Clau, she was wonderful. She could tell me every ingredient in each dish and shared my excitement with how tasty each one was.
I arrived right when they opened, at 5:30pm for dinner. Two other tables got seated shortly after me. The red snapper is apparently their most popular main entree. I ordered it. It’s a heavy dish, and that curry is a mild to medium spice, it was so good! I also ordered the lobster tostadas. This is a lighter dish. I love that they added passion fruit to this! What a way to zest up this dish in an unexpected way.
They provided an amuse-bouche as well, which was a large shot glass full of a butternut squash soup with an orange flavored foam and some nutmeg sprinkled on top. Chefs kiss! This was so tasty. I kept taking small sips and swishing it around in my mouth to make sure I really got to enjoy the flavors.

I will be dining here again!

First visit to Bacan and enjoyed exceptional service and hospitality while enjoying hearty portions of great food. Food was prepared with attention to detail…balanced and correct temperature. Octopus was succulent and crisp. Hamaci was a perfect bite. Add the mushrooms with the steak…Amazing!!! Desserts are not overly sweet, but balanced and sized for two. Will definitely make a return trip!
