We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Harry’s in Downtown Ocala on the square. From the moment we sat down, Kayla, our server, was exceptional. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made the entire dining experience even better. Honestly, Kayla is the kind of server every restaurant hopes to have. She deserves real recognition from management for the level of service she provides.
The food was just as impressive. The beef medallions with shrimp scampi were a 10/10, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the sweet corn grits on the side were absolutely incredible. We also ordered the fettuccine with shrimp, scallops, and sausage in a Cajun sauce, and it was outstanding — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
For appetizers we had the boudin balls and the ahi tuna, and both were excellent and a great way to start the meal.
Between the amazing food and Kayla’s outstanding service, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Ocala. We will absolutely be back, and we’ll definitely be asking for Kayla again when we return.

The food is as close to NOLA that you’re going to get out here! Blackened fish spot on. The server had only been here 3 days and was outstanding. The restaurant itself made us feel like we were actually in NOLA! Bathrooms were clean. A total thumbs up!!

We arrived right at 11:30 and were seated immediately. We’ve been to this location several times before and always enjoy the atmosphere and food offerings. We had a few minutes to look over the menu before our server took our drink and food orders. Fir my drink I thought I’d try the Blackberry Bramble, my wife had water. For our meals my wife was having the grilled mahi and I was having the Bourbon Salmon.
Our drinks arrived in good time, my cocktail was excellent. Our meals arrived soon after that. The presentation wasn’t much to behold, it just appeared to be tossed together. My wife’s mahi was perfect, I thought my salmon was on the dry side and the bourbon glaze, sorry to say, boring.
We split the keylime cheesecake. It’s on the tart side, but the accompanying raspberry syrup and whip cream mellows it nicely. While the salmon was a bit of a letdown, everything else was excellent including the service. Enjoy!

Very good restaurant, I definitely recommend. Nick was our server, very nice and very professional. The food was very good too, we had the jambalaya, the chicken friend grits, and the best dessert, the deep fried Oreos. The portions were huge.

I had the crabcakes and a side salad. Usually not a fan of salads that aren’t chopped small enough such that I have to cut them again at the table but the taste was good. I loved the bread, it makes a meal. The crab cakes were delicious and Nick, the waiter, was attentive enough to notice that I needed more sauce for my crab. I am a sauce fiend. The atmosphere is festive and comfortable. Packed on a Monday night. I will be back. I want to try the Ahi tuna.

Love this place. Had the andouille crusted grouper. So delicious. They know how to blacken a piece of fish well. My boyfriend had the fried shrimp & grouper platter. The breading was light so you could actually taste the seafood. We’ve been here a few times and tried different entrees; we haven’t been disappointed in any of them.

8 of us all loved our meals. I had the Eggplant & crab. Husband had salmon, the best he’s ever eaten! Our waiter was extremely good. Didn’t even have to write down our orders. Food price reasonable as well as happy hour drink prices. We didn’t drink and our bill came to around $50. Call ahead (30 minute) seating got us in immediately. Highly recommend!

My family and I went here for dinner; the service was excellent and the food was amazing. This has got to be on of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time, from the appetizers to the entrees and desserts. Highly recommend for anyone interested in an excellent dinning experience.
