I love the spoon! The food is always great and service is warm and friendly. Wendi makes sure everyone feels welcome. Stopped in today for my first Sunday brunch there since they started breakfast service and it did not disappoint! The chicken fried steak was so tender and delicious and the fresh biscuits are amazing.

Solid stop if you’re on a road trip through rural Oregon. They have a decent sit-down experience albeit the service might be a little slow. The Hickory Spoon is part of a golf course, so it seems to be filled with golfers grabbing a drink + food after their outings. It seems to be a lot more casual than other golf course restaurants that I’ve been to.
Overall, I would recommend this place for a sit down food experience if you’re in the area. The food didn’t blow me away by any means… but it was a solid meal that I didn’t have any major complaints with.

Food: the food was very good. Cheese burger was delicious, tots were decent. Steak wasn’t cooked to requested liking, waiter forgot a1 sauce til half the steak was gone. Waiter forgot Meal came with a salad til we flagged him down to remind him and request that part of the meal.
Service: it’s a seat yourself establishment on Friday evenings, I didn’t think that was an issue til it took us over 20 mins and us waving down a waiter, and a bartender to get someone to acknowledge our table. It was less than half full of customers.
The waiter who ended up helping us was young, he seems a little sky and inexperienced, but he was trying. He forgot mult requests with the meals, every interaction we had with him was him helping another table. And us having to get his attention to let him know he forgot about us again.
Atmosphere: dark dark hard to see parking area. Good size bar/room, pretty open and good design, don’t recommend sitting away from the bar if you expect to eat tonight!

Had the Prime Rib Wrap today (their lunch special) and it was amazing! Food always comes out fast and it is all quality ingredients. The restaurant is set up for everyone, you can sit in the back for a quiet family dinner or socialize at the bar with some of the golfers! Best spot in town without a doubt!

A new restaurant at the Santiam Golf Course is a welcome addition to the local dining scene. The menu is diverse and includes salads, sandwiches and entrees. The room is quite noisy when full, as it was when we visited. The service was friendly and the server checked back to make sure we had everything we needed

Food is so goooood. Easily the best spot around town for quality tasting food. I will however, mention that they should have someone actively posting on social media updating any sort of specials for the day. There are items posted on Facebook that are not on the menu but seem to be the special of the day. Would love to know what’s new everyday in the mornings!
