Great food! Highly recommend the sausage and mashed potatoes, crème brûlée and ice cream with chocolate sauce. I couldn’t eat the smoked salmon (very weird rubbery texture and different from American smoked salmon so heads up if you’re American). Eating outdoors was wonderful, they even have blankets incase you get cold!

This is probably your best bet for dining at Versailles (aside from Angelina, which we didn’t try, but at least it lives by some standards). We first popped into the quick service spot right outside the palace (Grand Cafe Orleans) and was very disappointed in the absolutely boring selection of sandwiches and prepared items. We decided to save our appetite until after we walked through the gardens and dine at La Flottille instead.
This was a much better option. The food overall was satisfying and quite decent/good. It was crowded and quite loud, and our server was literally running around. He was very kind and did his best, but there was A LOT going on in there.
That being said, I think it was still totally worth it to wait until we could sit down properly and eat some food cooked just for us. The prices were honestly fine in my opinion for a meal at Versailles. Although the food was good, it was still just average. Nothing to write home about but also satisfying enough that I would probably eat here again if I was visiting Versailles versus the other dining options.

Was there over the holidays and the lunch service went smoother than anticipated. We had a late lunch so the place was quite packed with early-birds upon arrival but promptly emptied out. We ended up leaving mid-afternoon just as the next wave of patrons were lining up to get in, therein enjoying a quiet meal in a warm, friendly, and beautiful environment without feeling rushed. The food was excellent and the setting as regal as one might expect in Versailles.

We were able to walk in for lunch without a reservation but it was late after 13:30. We were seated on the patio which was lovely except for wasps. The food came out really quickly. I had the Onion Soup and it was great. My family had fish and chips and it was good. The bar inside is really beautiful. It was a nice relaxing lunch to break up our walk to the Trianon estates.

tucked away in the garden of versailles you find this restaurant, it was quite busy when we arrived but we still got a table without a wait. the servers were a bit busy so it was a bit hard to order but we ended up getting the sausage, the chicken, fish and chip and onion soup and escargot. the escargot was just normal, the chicken was really good it was so flavourful and filling, the onion soup was a bit too salty so you needed a lot of bread to help eat it, the sausage was pretty good too. we then got the crème brûlée for dessert. overall the food was good being in a good location to eat while browsing the gardens.

We managed to get a nice table inside without a reservation after walking through the gardens and deciding to stop for lunch. The service was quick and friendly, and the fish and chips were fresh and delicious. It was a great place to relax after touring the palace and strolling through the gardens, especially on a chilly day.

What a gem! Considering the location, i wasn’t expecting much but i was so wrong!! Such a charming restaurant, the kindest waiters that despite the number of tables made sure we had all we needed, really tasty dishes and a marvelous dessert (the floating island). I’m definitely coming back! Highly recommended
