I went here shortly after it opened. I was excited to have another papa John’s open near me as it was our favorite place to order pizza. The food was horrible. I ordered extra butter garlic sauces only to have them split opened and spill all over the boxes and my sests (thank God for seat covers) when I contacted them, the “owner” (thats who they said they were) called me but I was at work and couldn’t answer my phone. They texted me. I texted that I wasnt able to talk at the moment as I was at work. When I texted back asking if they could talk, I never heard another thing back. I was hopeful when they contacted me but to then never hear anything again when I tried to contact turned me off from ever doing business there again. Such a shame as when they were on altamont ave, the food there was amazing. Oh well.

Ordered pizza and wings at 4:00pm ONLINE with a delivery time of 5:30pm. At 5:52 pm I called the store and was told they couldn’t find our order. After MUCH searching it was found and it was almost here. AWESOME! Until another 30 minutes passed. I called back and politely inquired as to where our dinner was. A friendly debate started and I was referred to the manager and I was thankful. Turns out the manager is the owner and should be ashamed for blaming ME! He was constantly talking over me and blaming me for improperly ordering. Finally got our “food” an hour late. The quality was amazingly horrible. These are not “wings”. They are charred rubber on bones and match the owners dedication to customer service. Refused to do anything for the cost as he has a business to run and CANT REFUND PEOPLES MONEY FOR NOTHING.

Pizza was good, I found the pizza cooked to perfection, plenty of toppings. I was skeptical at first ordering from here due to its past reviews but maybe the management took charge and now they are functioning as required. I ordered for a pickup and the food was ready by the time they said it would be. Service-wise I am a little disappointed, why would you be stingy when giving out the pepper flakes they gave me 3 sachets for 2 large pizza. Overall I am satisfied with the food and taste.

Placed an order for delivery at 1228pm. Attempted to call the store at 128pm and couldn’t get a person on the phone for almost an hour. Finally got my food at 249pm. Free 2 liter for my trouble and a promise from supposed store manager (who delivered my food) that my next 2 orders were on him. Yeah like that will happen. Seriously?

I was in this location today and ordered 2 pizzas. One a parmesan stuffed crust with sausage and the other a regular sausage as part of their buy one get one free offer. I live 90 minutes away but was in the area and decided to stop. After getting home I realized the stuffed crust pizza was not a stuffed crust and hadn’t even been cut. The second that was supposed to be a regular sausage ended up just having cheese on it. I don’t know if I order online next time if my order will be correct or if I should just skip this location and go to the Albany one.

I ordered take out on line today…was told it would be ready at 12:15 pm. I got a confirmation of the order and thought all was good. When I got to the store on Balltown Rd the only person there said he was the driver and couldn’t make a pizza. He didn’t know when the manager would be there and also said he couldn’t refund my money…told me to go online for that. So no food, no money back and too late to go anywhere else. I work in a hospital so no opportunity to eat for several hours…sucks to be me today.
2/10/2025 I was in Colonie so I ordered again….this time they didn’t disappoint. The pizza was ready when promised, hot and tasty. Papa John’s pizza is its own thing and I really like it.

I ordered two pizzas and two boneless chicken wings to go. The pizza was tasteless, light on the topings and they lacked a lot of sauce I’m used to with a Papa John’s pizza. The BBQ wings had a very light drizzle of BBQ sauce to barely qualify as BBQ boneless wings. I didn’t like the texture of the chicken wings as well. The person eating with me did not like neither their pizza or wings either. Had to throw everything away. Curious to see if they’ll be in business a year from today.

Requested pizza be cooked well (crunchy). It was not. Ordered 5 topping pizza. Very stingy on the toppings. Pizza sat when done. Staff (3) didn’t check to see if it was mine. Boneless wings were not crunchy (too mushy). Will not order Papa John’s again.

No customer Skills even on a takeout order, they can’t seem to be professional. Take forever to bring your pizza when you choose deliver and when you come in, they treat you like trash. Absolutely mind blown. Couldnt even hand the pizza or say anything for that matter placed the pizza on the counter and walked away.
