After a few years of delicious cooking, we later expanded to our second location in Smyrna, TN in 2016. Since I moved to the Spring Hill area a few months ago I have not been disappointed.
Until now.
I have been searching for a good cheesesteak sandwich and figured I’d try Chicago express. Big mistake.
I ordered a cheesesteak and a side order of breaded mushrooms.
The woman at the register was polite and friendly. I was able to order and sit while I waited. It wasn’t extremely long but it was longer than expected.
I got home and unpacked it.
Everything was way overcooked.
The mushrooms were dark, but I tried them. They were so bad the breading turned to grains in my mouth and the mushrooms were chewy. Overdone.
The sandwich was smaller than expected. The filling was spread out and only covered about ⅔ of the roll. I tried it and this was also overcooked. The onions were stringy, dark and tough and some of the filling was black from burning.
The salt was incredible. I couldn’t taste anything but salt. It was so heavy, I could feel it on my lips after trying a few bites.
The whole meal went into the garbage.
I called when I saw the mushrooms and they offered to replace them, but I wasn’t going to drive back for it.
It was so bad, that I won’t be back.
Some things are simple mistakes, but If the whole order is this bad, I’m over it.

First time eating here. Enjoyed our cheeseburger and Philly cheese. Fries were good and crispy. Ask for the fry sauce. Friendly staff. The place has the “quick lunch” atmosphere. Large menu. We will put the place in our regular rotation for lunch. You should give a try.

Fries were delicious and everything was fresh and hot.
My son ordered a Philly cheese steak and fries and he said they are always good.
This was my first visit and my son took me because he really likes it.

Tried this place for this first time and it was delicious. Not a big fan of their ranch so didn’t enjoy my onion rings as much. And it’s sad because the onion rings are actually great here. For that reason I have to give it a ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️. The chilli cheese dog had plenty of toppings. Would definitely come back and try something else and I’ll re-edit my review then.

I love the frys and fry sauce however 17.50 each for a meal is wild especially when one is a grilled cheese and frys and not even a lot of frys. The ice machine is covered in mold so no telling how other things are upkept

Absolutely love that this is in the South!!! Nice to get some good food. The only downside – no taziki sauce with the gyro can’t eat a gyro dry! Chicago dogs are perfect, pizza puffs amazing, gyro meat delicious!!

I recommend Chicago express 100% for their food. Good. I love their spaghetti. The chili dogs are great, burgers also great. My only issue with them is they have the cheapest napkins that I have ever seen in a restaurant.They are incredibly thin one ply napkins that will maybe cover 1/4 of your lap if you choose to try to put it in your lap. They are the ones that come in the little metal container.Their straws also seem to be more the size of a coffee stirrerthan an actual drinking straw. I am not sure if this is a result of supply chain issues but they really need to step up their game on napkins and straws.

Hit or MISS, inconsistent! When the wings are good, they’re good. Sometimes they will short you a wing and night like tonight when Wings and $.99 you get old chicken the flats are so dry. They’re like literally cardboard and crumbly in your mouth. They’re half the size of the better wings you get win the regular price It’s disappointing when you have a taste for it and you hope you get what you know they are capable of providing for the same money you’ve paid before. Frustrated and still hungry smh i’ll upload a picture if it lets me. My suggestion, check your food before you leave the store and don’t hesitate to give it back if it doesn’t look right and count your wings
