The food and drinks were incredible, especially considering the price point. Surprisingly cheap for the type of quality you get. The vibe is very retro and still quite clean. Although I only had sushi, I will be back for sure to try the teppan. The bar looked very cool and I’d like to try that again soon. Its no wonder it’s been open since 1978.

The food is classic Japanese but I have to say the sushi is real and very fresh. Not premade soggy limp stuff. Their sushi bar and food is real. They prep and fillet the fresh fish there and cut and serve to order. My adult kids like the steak and that is very good too. I work nearby and noticed the place is always busy at lunch with lots of business men enjoying a good meal. Lunch servise is fast and respectful of short lunch hours for the business men. I go there often when I want to treat myself to a nice lunch, have business lunches with clients, and take the staff for a birthday dinner. Perfect place.

I wish I could give this place even MORE stars . . . It is an AMAZING Japanese restaurant that offers both Teppan and Sushi style cuisine . . . a beautiful indoor restaurant environment that could easily have been in Hawaii 50 years ago . . . GREAT food (fresh and extensive), GREAT service (courteous, professional, and friendly), and GREAT atmosphere . . . and the prices are very reasonable, too . . . I will be back many, many, more times . . . and hope they stay around for many more years to come. They always seem busy, so reservations are recommended! They also have one of the most extensive drink menus I have ever seen.

Probably our new favorite Japanese restaurant in “OC”. If you are doing dining room or Teppan, best to make a reservation.
Very cool that it has different vibes. Hang out in the bar and drink & eat, choose the dining room, choose the sushi bar (sushi only) or the Teppanyaki tables (cooking tables).

I haven’t been here for years, and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was spot on. Our son got the teriyaki steak, and my husband
and I shared the boat. Too much food but too delicious not to eat. Loved the crispness of the sesame chicken, and the teriyaki chicken and steak were cooked just right. Perfect night.

3-stars for food, it’s an ok for salmon & tuna but not as fresh, upon ordering hand rolls. Tempura was good. Ambiance is good, clean place. Prices were affordable. Next time we’ll try the Teppan and see how it is.

This restaurant is AMAZING! It’s a lot bigger than it looks. There’s a bar area, teppanyaki room, sushi bar and dining area! Paul is the nicest most considerate server. Plus the food is delicious. We very much enjoyed our time there and will go back shortly!

We had an incredibly disappointing experience celebrating a birthday here. Someone in our group can’t eat wasabi, so we asked for the roll containing it to be made without wasabi. Instead, we were given a plain bowl of rice. Were we meant to assemble the roll ourselves? To make matters worse, our table overheard the waiter say, “these guys are crazy.

Went for my birthday, it’s been years since I’ve been to a Hibachi place.
The service was fantastic, the food was very good (the sauces were different than what I’m used to, but still very yummy)
