Also all the tapas are so delicious. They’re all so good… highly recommended.
Before serving, the staff presented the whole grilled fish at the table, showcasing its freshness, and then expertly deboned it. You can tell they use the freshest ingredients, and the attention to detail in seasoning was remarkable.
While the meal was on the pricier side, the exceptional taste and the upscale ambiance made it well worth the splurge. The service was attentive and professional. It was nice to sit at the outdoor area on a sunny day. If you’re in the mood for fine Spanish cuisine, especially seafood, this place is a must-try!
We went here for dinner without reservation and the friendly lady who welcomed us said the restaurant was fully booked. Seeing my disappointment, she proposed preparing a high table with some bar stools in the bar area of the restaurant. We gladly accepted her offer.
Of course we had to order the paella which came in a pan for two persons. The waitress served the paella from the pan on our plates. The paella is really exceptionally good, so do try this dish. We also loved the excellent wine by the glass. We tried a glass of Albariño verdejo and a glass of Chardonnay. Both were great.
While we were enjoying our meal some kind of influencer came in, insisting she would really love to try the crème El Faro. Since she didn’t have a lot of time (she needed to catch a train), she wanted this dessert as quickly as possible. Preferably take-away. The lovely lady who offered us the table explained to her that take-away wasn’t possible since that would ruin the dessert and she had to wait about twenty minutes for the dessert. Since the influencer only spoke English and the lady only French we gladly offered our translation services. After some more discussion the cook in the kitchen did an effort and the dessert arrived in about five minutes.
In the meantime I had gotten very curious about this dessert, so I ordered one for myself. In fact the dessert was a crema catalana served on fresh pineapple. It sure was nice, but not really exceptional. I think I still prefer the classic crema catalana.
Superb classic specialities, including paella , plancha and Gallegos octopus (my favourite)
