Quite an extensive menu with all of the comfort foods including seafood & Greek options. They also have a very well rounded cocktail menu including seasonal selections. The service was friendly & consistent with pleasant topical conversation. Delicious homemade dishes & desserts. This is an authentic diner which is something difficult to find nowadays. Come on in & enjoy!

The food here is excellent and comes in huge portions for the price! You definitely get the bang for your buck going here. The wings, portabello burger, and fish tacos were all great menu items and tasted absolutely delicious. The service was also friendly and there was such a large selection of cakes by the bakery that we had trouble choosing one for dessert. Would definitely come here again!

Vernon Diner was solid. The positives are that the menu is extensive, and they are open 24/7. The negatives are that the food is fine. It gets the job done but is nothing special. For 2 people to get entrees and split a dessert, it was $55. To me that’s a bit steep for the quality, but maybe that’s just the going rate these days.

Stick with the breakfast. Food is not fresh, my mother got the chicken quesadilla, it was chewy, fatty and old. My brother got the fillet of cod sandwich, which was suppose to have a brioche bun, came out with two toasted pieces of white bread. I had the egg white omelette, it was ok. But waffle fries were good. Last thing you’ll see is a clean plate (dessert wasn’t even that good).

Not bad. We were hungry and saw their billboard so stopped by for a bite.

My husband and I stopped in Vernon on our way home from Maine. We stumbled upon the Vernon Diner and it did not disappoint. The Challah bread French toast was delicious, as were my eggs and his omelet. I was tempted to get one of the amazing looking desserts to go, but we still had several hours in the car ahead of us.

This is a real diner. We don’t get many in nyc, so this was a real treat. It looks like a real community diner – many of the patrons seemed to be regulars which was so nice to see. The menu is a novella – there is definitely something for everyone. The portions are very generous. The fries are delicious and even the cole slaw was good. They are very accommodating with special requests (although they do not have turkey bacon) and the wait staff is very patient and willing to help you through the menu. As you walk in there is a massive counter with colourful and delicious looking desserts. We had no room for dessert (maybe next time), but if you are able, maybe take one to go.

Had to pick out rotten lettuce from my gyro. Chicken was dry. Fries not so good and cold. Soup was ok. Didn’t realize until I got back to my hotel room. But I paid over $30 for this! Wow way too much for a chicken gyro, fries and soup!

We had great, attentive service, large portions, good food. I got sweet potato fries and they weren’t cooked very well, but that was the only issue. This is going to be our new favorite place to visit when we visit our son at school.

Went here a week ago with my Dad and my son for dinner. My Dad had the scallops, I had the turkey dinner and my son had the chicken parmigiana dinner. Everything was delicious! The portions are really big, and they give you cornbread, macaroni salad and soup or salad with you dinner. Bring your appetite, because you’ll need it. It can get very busy here, but they do an excellent job in serving their customers. I highly recommend this diner!
