The family took me out for my birthday and wow! Food was delicious and the kids loved the entertainment. Service was prompt and the chef was very attentive. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. I will definitely share my experience with friends and family! Great to have something like this in the north end of the city.

We had a fantastic and spectacular experience at Tobe tonight. Chef Sherwin was phenomenal, he not only served a yummy delicious dinner but also he enlightened our night with his amazing sense of humour, we laughed, we ate and felt so happy with the whole experience. The waitress was super kind and nice. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We came for Teppanyaki for the first time and we had an awesome time. It was actually our anniversary and we were in no rush. But apparently, we waited long enough, and we were given a free California roll which made our night. They also took care of us by upgrading us to fried rice from steamed rice. We will definitely be back again to enjoy another meal at another time with some friends! Thank you so much for taking care of us on our anniversary.

We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday, and the chef was absolutely outstanding, truly the highlight of our experience. We would honestly come back just because of him. The place and food were great. Also, one of the servers/hostesses was extremely kind (the tall one with glasses and long hair in a ponytail). She made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
However, the other server we interacted with was very rude. She seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the menu, didn’t want to explain the dishes, and even came to our table before we asked for the bill to tell us that we should pay already. It felt very disrespectful.
It’s unfortunate because the rest of the experience was excellent. I hope management is aware, as this kind of attitude can really affect customers.

Awesome show! The food is delicious. Prices are very reasonable for a Teppenyaki joint! Customer service was amazing! Plenty of free parking nearby! Great for the buddies, date night, families, anyone and everyone really!

I was overly disappointed by the entertainment and food. While waiting for our chef, my table and i’s anticipation was through the roof. We watched neighbouring tables have awesome chef entertainers – singing happy birthday, cracking jokes, talking to their audience, fire shows while the vegetables were cooking and things of those manner. When our chef arrived he briefly introduced himself, did a quick 10 second fire show and went straight to cooking. He didnt speak to us whatsoever except for asking how we wanted our striploin cooked and i felt the overall entertainment aspect was incredibly underwhelming. I do believe if we had a chef who could entertained better and has the ability to ask basic questions like “how are you?” Or “i hope you enjoy the food” this experience could have been a little more better. In addition the food aspect was poor because the taste of salt and pepper was overpowering. The rice, the noodles and our striploins had a bit too much salt and pepper. I did address my concerns to a server about how poor our chef was and although some of the things were out of her control, she explained to me that the bad entertainment was because the chefs are busy and are trying to get through tables. I dont think that was a fair answer because for the price you pay, you shouldnt get chefs who are in a rush to get you out. A positive i can mention is that the peanut sauce tasted great but thats all. The video attached is the only time fire was on the grill for the hour and a half he had us

This was our first Teppanyaki experience and it did not disappoint! Everything was perfect from the performance to the atmosphere. Our chef Sherwin was very entertaining, skilled, and funny. Food was fresh and tasty, and the waitresses were very attentive. Definitely coming back again when we visit Calgary in the future! :))
