Had some takeout for dinner. The outside of the place looked a little beat up. Inside is dimly lit and definitely had some character. I ordered the duck soup with noodles and Krab Rangoon .The packaging on my order was five stars. The broth was kept separate from the duck, noodles and veggies, and everything was still hot.. The duck itself had an excellent flavor but was mostly just skin. The broth was lacking flavor. The crab rangoon was some of the best I’ve ever had. Not overly greasy, with a nice crunch. Inside, creamy, a tad sweet and rich

Sushi hit the spot! Loved the 2 sushi roll combo. Waitress was excellent…so efficient and courteous. Waiter was a bit abrupt (tossing straws on table, putting plate halfway off table, etc).

We had a great experience at Umami noodle house. The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing. Their is outdoor seating available. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and we appreciated the stamp discount card we received on our way out. The food was excellent overall, though we noted that the pineapple rice could have used more pineapple. We look forward to returning soon.

Oh how the mighty have fallen! As many locals may know, this establishment changed hands about a year ago when this place was simply called “Noodle House”. Under the previous owner, this eatery was a 5 star hidden gem of the town, so we were heartbroken when they sold and put off coming back for quite sometime. Upon our return, we found though not bad, it is a former shell of itself. Every recipe that we tried today has been changed to be made “safe” to appeal to the main demographic of this town, and the dishes suffer for it.
Appetizer: fried gyoza- probably the best part of the meal. Extra crispy shell, different but still very tasty. Gyoza sauce is different as well, much thicker, more sweet less savory. Still complimented the dish nicely
Entree one- duck rice- this dish was good, but this was a STAPLE of OG noodle house and is a farcry from the medley of flavors that it used to be. Very bog standard fried rice with the vegetables you’d expect from a fried rice dish. Duck was good, the best part of the dish, but not properly integrated into the dish, simply layed on top, not allowing the flavor of the rice and veggies to meld and absorb each other. Nice and crispy though without being too dry.
Entree 2- volcano roll and spicy crab roll- oh god skip the sushi entirely, so bland except the overwhelming taste of mayo from both rolls. I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE FOR SUSHI THERE ARE MANY BETTER LOCATIONS IN TOWN FOR IT. Such a shame, the flavors and balance used to be so good. I cant even give a flavor profile for either roll…just…mayo. never again.
Staff- was fine, no complaints, no accolades
Atmosphere- fine, less homey than it used to be, but again very safe. music was a little loud, but voices always carried in that space so i get it. Gave us a punch card at the end which felt a little tacky for a sit down restaurant that should be able to get me to come back on the merits of the food.
Will i be back? Probably, but i certainly wont be there once every 2 weeks like i did when it was the Noodle House.
Downgraded from hidden gem to generic asian style cuisine. Such a shame.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time, and I would consider returning in the future if I have the opportunity. I ordered the sushi boat, which was decent, not particularly outstanding. The food was enjoyable, though it didn’t reach a level of deliciousness that I had hoped for. However, the service was excellent; the staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant’s atmosphere was a bit on the dark side, and I think they could benefit from better lighting. On a positive note, they offered my favorite dessert, mango sticky rice, which I absolutely love. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4 out of 5.

Amazing and underrated! Authentic flavorful Thai food! This place is on a side road so people skip over it but I’m so glad I went off the beaten path! It did not disappoint!

Had an excellent dining experience at Umami. I hadn’t been since ownership changed and the food is much better quality than the previous Noodle House. Service was great and the interior has been updated. Highly recommend!

I just had a such a disappointing experience. My self, my 3 yr old & fiancée went for a soup bowl dinner. We actually had looked ahead & picked what we wanted to order before we got there. We arrived & they did appear busy but most tables were done with their meals. We sat at a booth the manager came after a few mins to bring us our menus & thanked us for patiently waiting. More & more time went at least another 10 or 15 mins. The waitress asked us if we ordered water….I told her no, no one has talked to us yet. She said, ok I will be right with you. More time passes. Still nothing. Another family comes in & gets immediately sat, given menus & the waitress came to take their drink order (I assume) within 10 mins. We still have had no one take our drink or food order…that we already knew we wanted. I am completely infuriated! She purposefully ignored us……we have a toddler that is hungry & was so excited to eat there. I was so upset I took my family & left with a screaming toddler begging to stay!!! But how much longer should we wait for service ???? 3o mins is reasonable to get a drink order in a small resturant? It is now an hour & 30 mins later we finally are eating.? Almost 9pm. My son is too tired to eat now is going to bed hungry on the coldest night of the yr. I’m so upset & feel like our whole night was ruined.
