They do shady stuff. The server rang us up and automatically added a gratuity charge and the kiosk still asks you to tip. Then he refused to give us the customer copy of the receipt. He gave us the merchant copy which is not itemized and you cannot see that they charged gratuity on there unless you are paying attention to the little screen when they are ringing you up. This is so unnecessary and unprofessional. Im super upset because they make my favorite gorditas and now I don’t feel comfortable going back here.

They have the best service! It’s such a cozy vibe inside and not to mention they have a huge menu! Everything tasted delicious and amazing definitely some of the best tacos I ever had. Also got to try some of their new cocktails!!

Since moving to the east side of Chicago 7 years ago this used to be my go to spot for Mexican food until the food started tasting and even looking different. There’s no consistency on how food is made here. One day the tacos will be delicious “seared meat” and another day the tacos will be fatty “boiled tasting” and lacking flavor. One day the pork tacos are chopped and other days the pork is sliced and filled with fat “no consistency”. Pick up ordering became a nuisance, this restaurant was on a streak of getting my orders wrong. The owner did correct the order but he wasn’t happy. A burrito with steak, cheese and beans only shouldn’t be hard to get wrong. It’s been atleast 1 year since I’ve eaten here. Tacos Castillo down the street on Ewing is an even smaller establishment but the food is more consistently delicious.

Tried this place again and I should’ve learned my lesson $$$ they brought me used and half eaten pico de gallo overpriced and the food was very bad actually worst than then first time I went. I spent almost 100 dollars on 3 tacos a torta and some horrible hotdog floating carne en su jugo. I’ll cook at home for $100 bucks
