We were visiting Ohio from Virginia. We’d spent the morning at The Wilds in Cumberland and were making our way to Portsmouth to visit family. We were all hungry and let me tell you, there is not much on that stretch of roads! We were beginning to think we wouldn’t find lunch when we came into this little town and saw the sign for this place. So glad we found it because it was lovely! We had burgers and chicken sandwiches. The staff was nice. Food was delicious and fresh. And the vibe was cozy and cute.

Update 2024 – one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and the lasagna was also top notch! So much yum!

The wife and I was on a Jeep ride just enjoying the day. We are always looking for unique places to eat. This diner is a hidden jewel. The service was great, the food is extremely fresh and good. Every little detail was covered. The owner even uses Redmond Real Salt from Redmond, Utah. That there is a treat by itself. My salad was freshly clopped with locally sourced vegetables. The loaded grilled cheese is something uniquely wonderful that you most experience, it came with a butter squash soup that was also wonderful. This place is worth the 150 mile drive it was for us to get there. We will be back!

My wife and I stayed nearby for the weekend and had dinner here both nights. They use locally sourced meats and everything tasted amazing! The potions were just right. We didn’t have leftovers but we left full.

Great food, great prices. Coffee is good. Bacon is thick. They have useful maps for motorcyclists and tourists.
Chesterhill is a quaint small town.

A definite favorite when in southeast Ohio! Great food, locally sourced and well prepared.
(Best bacon I’ve eaten) In a small restaurant decorated well – unexpected for a rural location. Have to eat here everytime we’re in the area.

I had no reason to not leave a five. It is a very small place just right for that stop during a long drive. They do not seat very many at once, there are restrooms(clean) , a very nice menu with locally sourced items! The food was very good and portions were plentiful. Waitress was efficient and kind. The price was very acceptable considering it was mostly locally sourced veggies, and meats(lamb!).

Perfect breakfast place! Pancakes were a huge stack of 3 and gluten free, sausage gravy and biscuits all homemade and our waitress was amazing! We drove over an hour from Logan just to eat here on local recommendation.
