I’ve had the curry shrimp and the jerk chicken, and both were fantastic. I have to admit though, the cabbage is always my favorite part! Everything I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious.
The only thing missing is the ocean view I had when I was eating in Jamaica… but the food is so good I almost forget I’m not sitting on a beach somewhere.
I also love supporting a small local business instead of a big chain. It makes the whole experience even better!

I ordered the jerk chicken combo that came with peas and rice, plantains, and cabbage. I also added a beef and curry chicken patty. I’ve eaten plenty of jerk chicken and smoked chicken as well. This was not or did not taste like jerk chicken. It was extra smokey and that was it. The flavor was bland and just tasted like it was slow smoked and that’s it. There was no real flavor other than that. It did fall right off the bone but that was not what I was looking for in particular. The cook came out and said they were out of the normal jerk chicken, and the cashier said just throw some of the jerk chicken breast’s in there. I was thinking that would be fine but when I got it they gave me some jerk wings instead. That was not what I ordered nor what they offered. I wasn’t happy but I was ready to leave so whatever. After being unsatisfied with the overpowering smoked chicken, the peas and rice was good. The plantains were very tasty and sweet, very contrasting to the meal overall. I don’t eat cabbage so I gave it away. The curry chicken patty was very good and made me wish I had gotten that as my meal…but I couldn’t because they were out of white rice. We all know that you can’t eat curry with peas and rice. The beef patty was confusing, I couldn’t tell if it was beef or beans. I had a very underwhelming experience at a time when I wanted some bumping Jamaican food. If I decide to go back, I have to get the curry and if that’s not any better I’ll be super disappointed. Look on the bright side…. the portions of the large was large.
