We went here before a show at the Bankhead theater on the Friday before Valentine’s day. I had high hopes for this restaurant based on other reviews but sadly, I was underwhelmed. We ordered the chicken alfredo and the lasagna and it seemed to have been over cooked, both tasted ok. The best part of the meal was the dessert that we ordered from the Valentine’s week menu, the Italian lemon cream cake. They seemed to be under staffed as our server seemed overwhelmed. We thought that the bright lights gave the ambiance more of a cafeteria feel.

Ambiance: very local and historic vibe. Warning: think twice about wearing favorite shirts here because the smoke just doesn’t go away after two days…
They really need to fix something here to air the restaurant better.

Food: overall is nice; the meatball sauce is perfect but the meatball texture is not meaty and feels like too much starch is added like those cheap ones. The pasta texture is good and we loved the lasagna and could be better if we can actually taste more of the tomato.
Both pasta was the combo set, and the portion is good and we get to try the clam chooser and salad at the same time, which are both good.

Service: don’t be surprised, but this is the first common restaurant where I encounter a staff says “pardon my reach” to refill our glass. Thumbs up

My favorite restaurant in Livermore. The moment you walk into the place, you are greeted with the smell of Italian food lifting you off the ground. It gives such a cozy vibe while the restaurant itself is upscaly.

My regular combo: Cajun chicken risotto and Roy Rogers. And it makes my day. Highly recommended.

Wife tries out new stuff like the fettuccine this time while I stick to my usual thing. Never been disappointed.

I would say that this restaurant has excellent service. The waiters are very friendly, the place is clean, and the area where it is located is nice. However, my husband and I felt that the food tasted like frozen food reheated in a microwave. We have eaten authentic Italian food before, and this was nothing like that.

For the price, it is too expensive for what they serve. They mention including garlic bread in their suggestions, but we did not receive it. Instead, what was served was packaged bread, like the kind you buy at a market. For these reasons, we would not return to this restaurant.

Usually terrific food. 3 out of 4 in our party would rate their meal at least 4 star. I ordered different food than usual. Lasagna was disappointing, predominant flavor was raw tomato paste. Minestrone soup was good but not up to past experience.

Great food and service. Love the desserts too. Charles was very nice and attentive.
Another great experience the chicken parm and Lasagna are my favorite.
Even with a party of 35 they were attentive. I cant get enough Lasagna and really like the clam chowder. It is thick, creamy and has chunks of potato.
3/1 Amazing service again. Props the waiter (Engineer) Great experience. Forgot how much I really like the Chicken pesto and pine nut dish.
1-31 love this place. Cant get enough. Thank you

The lasagna was good, but I had better. The salad was delicious. However, I was also disappointed that the establishment had no booths to seat us at. Nonetheless, I would continue to patronize this restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant with Italian flare but a variety of options on the menu. They have an impressive Italian inspired seafood selection, but also some grilled items with veggies and potatoes. Great server and great atmosphere. Highly recommend

On a Saturday afternoon, the place was not crowded at all. The server was very pleasant and patient with our special dietary preferences. And the Chef looked pretty poised and in control. All our dishes tasted well, we ordered Pork Chop, Cajun Fettuccine and Cajun Risotto. The appetizer was tomato bisque, one of the best I have tried. Loved the food and the service. But again it was not a busy time.
